My inspiration. Tyra E Photography & Film took these photos last fall in Italy and it has since then been a dream to make a completely seamless beautiful staircase to our shops office space in the loft for the flower farm. But obviously this gorgeous staircase will also be perfect for wedding day photos and upstairs can be used for our brides to get ready in our for couches and lounging late in the evening as the party is going on.

We’re excited to offer a sneak peek into the future of our wedding venue. While the current Photoshop AI renderings provide just a glimpse, they highlight a small fraction of the stunning transformation set to unfold next summer. Picture the courtyard with elegantly set tables under hanging lights right off the gorgeous white flower shop with large glass sliding doors and the flower garden, featuring charming benches, coming together in a way that promises to be truly spectacular.

The reception space will be adorned with beautiful hanging lights, creating a warm and enchanting atmosphere. Meanwhile, the flower courtyard will be graced by a custom-designed wooden pergola, surrounded by 50 lush hydrangeas set amidst a vibrant flower field, adding a touch of elegance and romance.

Additionally, we are thrilled to share images of some of our new luxury stackable chairs, currently being shipped from overseas. After five months of meticulous design and collaboration, these chairs are crafted to provide timeless sophistication and elevate any setting. This significant investment reflects our commitment to creating an exceptional experience for every event.

We can’t wait to bring this vision to life and welcome you to a season of truly unforgettable weddings!

What has the last week looked like here? Pouring all the concrete, and buying all the on sale hydrangeas and cedar trees to fill the flower field and make our 50x50 flower courtyard be surrounded on all sides by gorgeous hydrangeas. The building is coming along and the foundation has absolutely taken up all of Braylan and his crews time but things are going to start moving really quickly now 😍
I honestly can’t express how excited I am for next year, we will have thousands of gorgeous flowers blooming and SO many beautiful locations on the 130 acres to say I Do 🥹
I need to go through and count all our bookings so far but I believe we only have 2 more spaces for 2025!

And just a reminder you do not need to hire Tyra E Photography and Film to have your wedding at Aurora Valley Venue but we would absolutely love to shoot there so we will be leaving at least two of the bookings to include one of our photography packages because let's be honest, this is our dream venue and of course, I am dying to shoot at it haha

Aurora Valley Venue coming to Fort St John spring of 2025 😭😭

What a labour of love it has been and will continue to be! Back in 2020 we found ourselves starting to photograph more and more destination weddings from couples who lived in Northern BC. What did they all have in common? The idea of trying to completely build their own wedding was way too overwhelming. We instantly knew our community was in need of a beautiful space where a couple could get married and get excited about still being a part of every aspect. Where everything they could need was provided, and they could spend their engagement season focusing on building their marriage and relationship and avoid the stress and worry that putting together your own wedding can cause. Now we will only be taking a limited number of weddings a year here so that we can start to take a slower approach to our summers, spending time with our little family, putting more and more landscaping beauty into the Venue and farm each summer and spend a little less time jetting around the country.

We will be operating on all inclusive packages, which means you will receive set up, and take down, all necessities and a little extra, and over 20 verities to choose for ceremony, cocktail hr and reception. I don’t want to share every detail just yet, but we want to take you on the journey with us as we finish up the flower farm and start building all the extra details like custom designed bar and backdrop etc.

We have been asked time and time again why we live in FSJ when we travel south so much, in short, this is our home, our community and our family and at the end of the day we want to bring value to our community. This venture I am sure will still have many more bumps in the road but we have truly gone through so much to bring this beautiful business to our home and you know we will put everything into it for each of our couples who choose to get married here!

We will be posting soooo much more in the coming weeks but make sure to check out our website for so many more details and you better believe I am dying to shoot here, so I am hoping to book any remaining weddings at our venue and of course will be giving a discount if you book us! However our venue is welcoming and encouraging other photographers to be hired for it, we can’t wait to see all the art created by the creatives in this area!!
