Tonight I will be live on air playing a set from 9p-11p on with the Wrecking Crew All-Stars on WREK-ATL 91.1 FM the longest running hip-hop slot in the A! 37 years of Thursdays! This will be fun for me because I get to dig deep into boom bap bag and play stuff that I love that I don’t get to play out that often. So please tune in tonight and turn me up!

This was the day that I laid down cuts on what became ‘Rise & Shine’, ‘King’s Blues’ and ‘My Sub’ on the album which celebrates the 13th anniversary of its release today.
Even with my own personal bias I still say this album is a full on classic. No skips. All killer, no filler. I’m so grateful that I was allowed to be involved in the creative process that produced the results of this album.
I’ve traveled to parts of the world that I would have never thought of growing up in Chattanooga, TN because of this album. I’ve made great friends because of this album. This album changed my life. And, if you listened to it, I hope changed your’s too.

These four men were a great inspiration to me as a curious adolescent growing up in Chattanooga, TN who was consumed with hip hop and could only get my fix through various forms of media. My musical sensibilities, my idea of personal style, embracing my uniqueness and the little confidence that I was able to muster up as a teenager all came from studying what these men shared with the world. Taking cues from them has allowed me to two decade plus career as a professional DJ and, for that I’m am grateful. Thank you to all of you. You’re all heroes to me. RIP Phife Dawg 🙏🏾✊🏾
