Thank you for your patience with the official launch of Big Wigs and Waffles- An Athens Drag Brunch! We want to pass along an update to keep our adoring fans in the loop!
We have been working for the past few weeks with Hotel Indigo to finalize the menu, seating, etc. We were at the point of signing contracts. We were notified this past Friday that due to our event being over 60 people, something they had known since day one, they would have to contract our catering to an outside vendor. No big deal! That’s fine. We were then notified via email on Sunday afternoon by Hotel Indigo’s “Asset Manager,” that due to “strains on our staff, both food and beverage and event staff the day before and day of” they would not be able to manage this event. We do understand that staffing can change quickly and often without notice in the hospitality industry. However, we have been working on this event with Hotel Indigo since August 5, 2024. If there were concerns regarding the time of our event in relation to other events happening that weekend, they should have been addressed at that time.
We are frustrated with this sudden and unforeseen change. Countless hours and financial resources have been put into making this event an experience for you! But you can rest assured that Petty Vendettas Entertainment is on the case and will be announcing a new venue and official launch date very soon!
