I've been feeling a crazy pull to just open my Bible and read whatever page I come to for weeks now. But, you know, LIFE. I was having an overwhelmingly difficult day today so I did just that. Flipped through different pages to things I knew would help, but nothing was hitting like I thought it would. Then my phone rang.
My mother-in-law just had a quick question, and within minutes, I was sobbing while unloading all my crazy thoughts and feels. I'm grateful God intervened today. 🙏 30 minutes later we hung up and I felt like I had finally caught my breath. She encouraged me to start reading Proverbs. The focus is wisdom and understanding, and no matter what we're going through, we all need wisdom and understanding.
The passage below hit me hard, so I decided to put it on the pantry door. I read it out loud over and over until I could do it without crying, until it was embedded in my ❤️. And I've gone back to it several times today.
It amazes me how God always shows up in some way just as we need Him most. In fact, He shows up more often than we know, we just need to look for Him. Sometimes we get so consumed that we can't even see what He's doing. I cried out to Him today and said I needed help, I needed Him to drop it in my lap - no hints, just throw it at me. And look at that, He did! 🥰
