A day of rememberance and celebration in honor of the dead. Dia de los Mu***os is a celebration of life and death…a festive and joyous event.
We are excited to announce that Día has grown to a two-day celebration. We will start on Friday night, October 18th. Join us for a pre-party, jamin' to our Oldies Never Die concert at Plaza César Chávez. Then, on Saturday, it's business as usual for the 13th annual Day of the Dead Festival. We will announce the lineup soon and how to get tickets.
Órale, Flaco may have left his Alma, but we are sure he will bring it to this year's Day Of The Dead Festival, October 19th in Downtown San José. The music lineup is starting to heat up, just like summer. Take a listen to them, you won't be disappointed.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Although this day commemorates Mexico’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862, it also represents how Mexico’s fight against the French affected Mexican American history and their contributions during the Civil War. Historians commonly understand that Napoleon III, leader of the French forces, wanted to turn Puebla into a base in Mexico to aid the Confederate Army during the war.
Introducing this years Día San José Muerto-Con. Created by the amazing Pinchi Michi Art. Her color treatment and use of the Musico as the central figure works so well with this years theme, El Cielo Esta De Fiesta. We can't wait to unveil the T-shirt. Make sure to dave the date Saturday October 19th, 2024 at César Chávez Park in Downtown San José.
Finally we were able to convince the amazing Pinchi Michi East Los Artist to create this years Muerto-Con. It will be the image that carries the spirit of this years festival. Michi Juarez Taylor is a great amungst many that have preceded her, colorful style and and bold imagery produced by Michi will grace the aesthetic for this years 13th annual festival.
