the shift from summer to fall has officially begun with breezy evenings and pumpkin-inspired menu items at our favorite eateries. but, don’t fret, color isn’t dead. fall weddings are the PERFECT time to add pops o’ color into your event designs! our favorites during fall are yellow, green, and orange. 🍁
bold patterns and bright florals aren’t your only choices… think about layers and patterns, accenting one color -OR- highlighting a favorite color palette — like how we used hues of pink, touches of mango, and a favorite: ORANGE to highlight the revamp of patio at the river house behind lowndes grove plantation!

we can’t believe it’s been almost two weeks since and got married at one of our favorite ( newer ) lowcountry venues, at ! a favorite moment, for us, was being warmly welcomed into their italian-inspired rehearsal dinner by sweet mae.
and, although mae wasn’t physically present on wedding day, C & M made sure to include her in the sweetest ways: naming ALL three cocktails after her with fun names, using cute AI signage to boot, and having her grace their wedding favors. TBH 🤍 we love when our clients incorporate pets into their designs and decor — it’s such an easy way to add a personalized touch for guests.

from getting ready at her parent’s home to pre-ceremony moments with her girlfriends and from well-thought out floral placement to ensuring our design would provide an amazing view — and billie made sure to check ALL the boxes of how to make their day extra special!

our design team has been working SUPER hard “behind the scenes” this year to expand our industry connections through networking AND travel — both at home and abroad. next year brings lowcountry islands, historic cityscapes, caribbean waters, and maybeeeee even a princess castle with a view!

it’s been a beautiful, mid-september saturday down here in the SOUTH, which means only ONE thing: tailgating with friends, smoked BBQ, themed wardrobing, and good ol’ college football! big teams played today like alabama, auburn, georgia, florida, and — of course — south carolina.
last fall, + incorporated the gamecocks into their special celebration at … specifically by gifting their guests USC towels as wedding favors BEFORE their introduction so everyone could participate in the “sandstorm tradition” 🌪️ not too bad for alums 😉

the wedding industry is in a moment of “who can outdo the next” with maximalist concepts to over the top installs and out-of-the-box color combos to surprise experiences for guests and clients alike… however, we’re always BIG FANS of clean lines, layered neutrals, and individualized touches! ✨
a perfect example was the classic wedding design for and at Cassina Point Plantation back in 2016 — who chose to incorporate a personalized collection of brass heirloom pieces alongside geometric shapes, like those used in reserved chair signage, guest menu place settings, and their ceremony altar design. 🤍 PERFECTION!

providing a SOLO MOMENT on the grid for these gorgeous, moody florals from for + and captured by — a dark purple candle was added to compliment a cool, winter wedding day like we celebrated last january!
some of our MOST favorite moments have been at — between the intimacy of a smaller event that hosts here to the perfect amount of light rays that pop through the windows off king street… it truly is a magical space, regardless of design choice — bright and airy to dark and moody! 💜

sharing some details from K & M’s wedding at last fall — which includes a bright, summer-inspired color palette to highlight a BIG ASS celebration on the coast. their wedding * MIGHT * just be the wedding of the decade because these gals can PARTAY!
although tuesday was wedding day, they spent the weekend prior hosting their family and friends to lowcountry favorites like a beach house rental and sunset harbor cruise. our brides chose to add SPLASHES of “happy color” everywhere, with sweet reminders of their favorite things — like their sweet pups on custom cocktail napkins.

reflecting today on one of our most favorite ways to personalize any event — cocktails and mocktails! over the last decade, we’ve seen everything you can dream up: from color coordination and textured glassware to interactive bar stations that allow guests to customize their individual tastes.
a top contender for us, though, is this pretty pink cosmopolitan for K & J’s celebration at — coined ( lovingly ) by the bride as “the stella” after their cat. a complimentary old fashioned called “the bruin” after their dog kicked off the evening with signature cocktails for guests to try alongside photos of their fur-babies. 🍸🥃

Invitation Only is a boutique wedding planning firm based in Summerville, South Carolina, and conveniently located near Charleston. We have been creating stylish and memorable weddings since 2013, specializing in both full-service and partial-service wedding planning. We provide month-of coordination for those who wish to plan their own wedding, but need some guidance in the month prior. In 2018, we reinstated our day-of coordination package for select Lowcountry venues! Although our specialty surrounds wedding-related services, we are also experienced in corporate event management and private parties. Utilizing our network of talented Lowcountry vendors, Invitation Only can bring together the specific, unique details of your event to ensure that everyone has an unforgettable experience!
