the wedding industry is in a moment of “who can outdo the next” with maximalist concepts to over the top installs and out-of-the-box color combos to surprise experiences for guests and clients alike… however, we’re always BIG FANS of clean lines, layered neutrals, and individualized touches! ✨
a perfect example was the classic wedding design for and at Cassina Point Plantation back in 2016 — who chose to incorporate a personalized collection of brass heirloom pieces alongside geometric shapes, like those used in reserved chair signage, guest menu place settings, and their ceremony altar design. 🤍 PERFECTION!

today’s color : purple 🍇
providing a SOLO MOMENT on the grid for these gorgeous, moody florals from for + and captured by — a dark purple candle was added to compliment a cool, winter wedding day like we celebrated last january!
some of our MOST favorite moments have been at — between the intimacy of a smaller event that hosts here to the perfect amount of light rays that pop through the windows off king street… it truly is a magical space, regardless of design choice — bright and airy to dark and moody! 💜

we have so much to share and unpack from our 10 days in the caribbean — but — how incredibly lucky are we to be planning G & CJ’s celebration at next summer?! + are the epitome of destination wedding clients! spending “island time” with them has been a HIGHLIGHT of 2025. excited for what’s to come!

pro tip // add HAPPY color 🌈
sharing some details from K & M’s wedding at last fall — which includes a bright, summer-inspired color palette to highlight a BIG ASS celebration on the coast. their wedding * MIGHT * just be the wedding of the decade because these gals can PARTAY!
although tuesday was wedding day, they spent the weekend prior hosting their family and friends to lowcountry favorites like a beach house rental and sunset harbor cruise. our brides chose to add SPLASHES of “happy color” everywhere, with sweet reminders of their favorite things — like their sweet pups on custom cocktail napkins.

on wednesdays we DRINK pink 🌸
reflecting today on one of our most favorite ways to personalize any event — cocktails and mocktails! over the last decade, we’ve seen everything you can dream up: from color coordination and textured glassware to interactive bar stations that allow guests to customize their individual tastes.
a top contender for us, though, is this pretty pink cosmopolitan for K & J’s celebration at — coined ( lovingly ) by the bride as “the stella” after their cat. a complimentary old fashioned called “the bruin” after their dog kicked off the evening with signature cocktails for guests to try alongside photos of their fur-babies. 🍸🥃

it’s “pop o’ color” season 🌸  .
we’re officially well on our way into a warm summer season here in the lowcountry — and, as the desire grows for sandy BEACH DAYS and themed HOLIDAY PARTIES and well-deserved VACATIONS, we’re reminded of fun ways to incorporate pops o’ color into your celebrations!

trending right now : GUEST FORMAL WEAR 🕺🏻 consider asking your guests to incorporate a specific color ( in various shades, of course ) to tie-in with your overall event design concepts. or, recommend that guests wear their BEST or SPARKLIEST shoes!

for our design team — there is no “official” pride month because every month we accept, honor, and welcome couples that identify as LGBTQIA+ with bells on! we are thrilled that, each year, at least 30% of our clients openly identify as LGBTQIA+ ( bonus : this stat has been consistent for * OVER * a decade ) 🥳
more importantly than our stats -OR- any other thing you read during the month of june, know this: pride month isn’t brought to you by big-box companies or corporate brands that slap a rainbow flag on products for 30 days. pride month was brought to you by drag queens and trans women rioting against police brutality in lower manhattan. ✊🏽

Invitation Only is a boutique wedding planning firm based in Summerville, South Carolina, and conveniently located near Charleston. We have been creating stylish and memorable weddings since 2013, specializing in both full-service and partial-service wedding planning. We provide month-of coordination for those who wish to plan their own wedding, but need some guidance in the month prior. In 2018, we reinstated our day-of coordination package for select Lowcountry venues! Although our specialty surrounds wedding-related services, we are also experienced in corporate event management and private parties. Utilizing our network of talented Lowcountry vendors, Invitation Only can bring together the specific, unique details of your event to ensure that everyone has an unforgettable experience!
