The day kicks off with registration for workshops at 9:30am at Ard Scoil Na nDéise, followed by a jam-packed schedule of music and entertainment from 10am until 1pm. With workshops led by renowned musicians like Tara Breen, Enda Scahill, Tom Morrow, Liam O'Brien, Diarmuid O'Meachair, Nuala Kennedy, and Colm Phelan, followed at 1pm by a tutor and student concert, you'll be in for a treat!
At 2:15pm, registration for busking outside The Local begins, followed by the busking competition on the streets from 2:30pm until 3:30pm. Gather your friends and family and join in on the fun for just €5 per person with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 people per group.
As the day progresses, we have a lineup of exciting events planned for you.
From Joe Power's book launch at The Town Hall Theatre to Seisiún Na nÓige at Dungarvan harbour sailing club, there's something for everyone.

Tunefest Dungarvan, an emerging trad music festival, attracts world-class musicians
Head to Dungarvan from 23-25 June for concerts, including headline gigs with Dervish, Ímar and Danú, workshops, dancing, pub sessions, youth buskers, and free outdoor gig rig performances.
Tunefest Dungarvan, the most exciting emerging traditional Irish music festival, will take place in the stunning harbour town of Dungarvan Co. Waterford from 23rd -25th June 2023.
The event will bring together some of the most talented traditional Irish musicians, singers, and dancers from Waterford, around the country, and overseas for one incredible weekend of top-class music and fun.
Headliners include internationally renowned folk act Dervish, Glasgow-based five-piece Ímar, supported by local Waterford duo Danny and Tommy Dunford, and one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles of today, Danú. The line-up features award-winning musicians and a wide variety of musical expression from ancient airs, to popular ballads, ceilí, jigs, reels, and polkas to more modern tunes with an Irish trad twist.
Grattan Square in the centre of Dungarvan will be alive with the sound of trad music throughout the Tunefest weekend, with an open-air gig rig on Saturday and Sunday featuring a great line up of musicians. A busking competition with young musicians will also take place from 2pm on the Saturday afternoon outside ‘The Local’ on Grattan Square.
A big focus for Tunefest is to encourage the next generation of musical talent, and with this in mind, they have set up a day of workshops for banjo, fiddle, accordion, concertina, whistle and bodhrán on Saturday 24th of June at Ard Scoil Na Deise, followed by a tutor and student concert. Tunefest Dungarvan, an emerging trad music festival, attracts world-class musicians
Head to Dungarvan from 23-25 June for concerts, including headline gigs with Dervish, Ímar and Danú, workshops, dancing, pub sessions, youth buskers, and free outdoor gig rig performances.
Tunefest Dungarvan, the most exciting emerging traditional Irish music festival, will take place in the stunning harbour town of Dungarvan Co. Waterford from 23rd -25th June 2023.
The event will bring together some of the most talented traditional Irish musicians, singers, and dancers from Waterford, around the country, and overseas for one incredible weekend of top-class music and fun.
Headliners include internationally renowned folk act Dervish, Glasgow-based five-piece Ímar, supported by local Waterford duo Danny and Tommy Dunford, and one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles of today, Danú. The line-up features award-winning musicians and a wide variety of musical expression from ancient airs, to popular ballads, ceilí, jigs, reels, and polkas to more modern tunes with an Irish trad twist.
Grattan Square in the centre of Dungarvan will be alive with the sound of trad music throughout the Tunefest weekend, with an open-air gig rig on Saturday and Sunday featuring a great line up of musicians. A busking competition with young musicians will also take place from 2pm on the Saturday afternoon outside ‘The Local’ on Grattan Square.
