THE most beautiful day celebrating all things Holly with Tuesday's @ The Brig. A friendship group for young adults with learning disabilities, that have been working with Holly for over a year now. ⁣
⁣
They are all VERY excited for the arrival of the baby 😍⁣
⁣
So much so, for her last session with them before the babies arrival, they threw her a Baby Shower🤩⁣
⁣
Tears were involved, as well as gorgeous tie die creations made by the group. ⁣
⁣
Not long and I'm sure Holly and Baby will be back to see you all 🌻🌻🌻⁣

Something different for me today. ⁣
⁣
I was invited to Greenhead College in Huddersfield to lead training on Diversity & Inclusion for 200 members of staff. ⁣
⁣
Definitely out of my comfort zone with an audience of real grown ups 😅(I still took a speaker🥳 and they thought I was coming to do karaoke 😂)⁣
⁣
Using conversations I'd had with students and staff at the college, I tailored the session to address key issues and spark conversations about what many deem uncomfortable topics.⁣
⁣
I came away with lots of things to think about myself and some really lovely feedback. ⁣
⁣
Society still has a LONG way to go. But it's so exciting to see leaders, companies and institutions making a conscious effort to make a change! ⁣
⁣

🔗 in B I O 💜💚 At Boomchikkaboom we have visited the ward many times over the years to provide our signature fun for the children and their families. From music and singing, to crafts, messy play and bubbles of course. We have honestly made some beautiful memories with the staff and families on this ward.⁣ ⁣ The last couple of times we were due to visit, it had to me cancelled as there are no external providers allowed on the ward due to high infection risks.⁣ ⁣ When we last visited at Christmas, I'd given a few craft kits to the parents to make their own Christmas wreath etc. These were well received so I wanted to get something similar for the parents/siblings.⁣ ⁣ We will also be providing some crafty, Boomchikkaboom care packages for the children of course. https://www.gofundme.com/f/fun-care-packages-for-families-on-ward-31-lgi

Fast forward to today, minus school/corporate bookings of course, the boys come with me if they need to and I do this with 1000% confidence. ⁣ ⁣ Same goes for the Boomchikkaboom team, our kids are a big part of what we do and who we are. ⁣ ⁣ When I first started out I cried for SOOOO many things 😭😭 ⁣ ⁣ 11 years on and we're still here, with MUCH less tears 😅
