How many times have you watched a particular show? Xena is one of my favorites. I watched it when it originally aired. I watched reruns in college. I binged with a friend and made sure we finished before I moved again. It's my favorite. F**k the patriarchy. Resist.

Remember to give yourself a break. Sit in the silence and revel in the good things. Listen to music. Sing. Dance. Take some of those breaks that your anxiety and neurospicy brain are insisting on. You can't be "on" all of the time, and bouncing from one responsibility to another 24-7 will lead you to an early grave.

I tend to think I'm an island, but then a friend surprises me with a text or call or of the blue. There are more people who care than you realize.

Take care of yourself. Resist.

It's been snowing all day, and, while I'm cold, I can't help but be grateful for the moisture.

I was part of a preliminary board meeting this morning. These things are fascinating. I don't know what my path forward is, but it's nice seeing people of different backgrounds come together to hash out a goal/objective. One of the things I took from this experience: there are people who want to move forward with you. They come from different paths, different careers, different experiences, but they come. It reinvigorated my desire to move forward with my new clothing line. It reinvigorated a desire to push boundaries. It's another glimmer in what is a shadowed time for many of us. There are still so many questions. We'll see what happens. My guess is as good as yours.

RMC marked 12 years of cosplaying for me. The first year of was the first year I indulged in costuming outside of Halloween or theatre. I love getting to do what I love year round and at my own pace. This year my mood was a bit funky, but I'm so glad I got to hang out with friends I've made through this show and meet new people. I am so grateful to for grabbing some beautiful pictures since I didn't grab any this year. Loved hanging out with a dear friend, ,and a new friend, . They were gorgeous in their cosplays.

I have developed some gnarly allergies since I started cosplaying 12 years ago. I get blisters from most adhesives and some costume parts that everyone uses... Eyelash glue, surgical tape, b**b tape, wig caps. It hinders some of what I can do, but not all. When I can, I choose to opt out of wigs. This is why you'll find me with questionable accuracy when it comes to some characters I cosplay. This weekend, I'll be in a version of Raven. My beautiful friend, pointed out that my hair was super close to not need a wig. I loved that idea. I have a natural widows peak, and chose to just throw purple on my black/burgundy to lean into that more. It's a perfect option for those who can't wear wigs!
