We will be posting the schedule soon. This year our Christmas Sessions will be offered on weekends only in the month of November, prior to Thanksgiving. We want to beat the cold temperatures! Children of all ages and families are welcome. Yes, pets are welcome too but certain rules will apply.

About Us!

Alpine Ranch Pics & Ponies began in 2008 when we moved to Columbus, WI. Previously Karen had worked as a Portrait Photographer in the Milwaukee area specializing in families, pets, kids and cat show photography. Steve is a professional painter and drywall finisher. We have 3 kids, ages 9. 12 and 15. We love animals and especially love incorporating them into the portrait photography. There are many children that do not have the privilege of our kids to be around farm animals.

Many of the animals we use in our portraits are rescues. They came from very sad situations and would not be here if we didn’t open our hearts to them. While some animal rights activists may frown on our photos of children and these animals, they have a great life and enjoy the attention they get from our sessions! Safety is ensured 100% with handling of all animals and we are completely insured. Alpine Ranch Pics & Ponies loves the look on the children’s faces when they are interacting with an animal they normally would not have access to. Every session has a trained animal handler accompanying to ensure the safety of both the child and animal as well as giving our customers the best product we can.
