Why So Early Kim?? Because, I ♡ that you support my local small business. MY final flower order goes in Friday afternoon so this benefits me too in keeping all the pretty "leftover" blooms OUT of my home! (I mean I love it but loss is not a great asset ) I do bring most of bits that remain after a holiday to nursing homes, hospice and occasionally someone I feel needs the uplift flowers can bring. Gentle reminders ♡

You may have the capacity to do it, but there's no obligation to if your heart & soul says no . You are just as important as anything else ♡.
My heart wants to grow lissuanthus again. It's my most challenging, and slowest growing flower for the gardens but it fills my soul when I spot those lovely unfurling petals as they finally arrive.

I'll be adding it into my gently wrapped bouquets for the month of Love (thank you Ontario grower) not only for its long lasting beauty but its many meanings. I Love researching the meanings of flowers. Here's a few. for the graceful lissianthus with my thoughts at the end.

APPRECIATION: show appreciation for a friend or loved one gifting lissianthus - who do you appreciate? We can also appreciate so much in nature like sowing seeds while birds sing in anticipation of the spring.

GRATITUDE: A flower that represents deep gratitude -we can find so much to be grateful for - our health, family, friends- pen pals, running water, a warm plate of food, a good book, a lending hand, a gentle hug.

LOVE: Lissianthus bloom can symbolize love, romance, or a lifelong bond- love is a powerful feeling. Its impactful physical & emotional benefits can help us live longer with more meaning- you can love yourself, a hobby, an animal as much as you can love another human ♡

How's those wreaths and swags doing? If inside and you spritzed them as suggested, they should be giving you some comfort still. As they "dry" inside they remind us that being outdoors more often will come, and should be a goal for you to make happen especially when it feels so cold that icicles may form in your nose as you GO for a walk outside! A bit of nature inside during this intense hibernating cold snap is so good for your mindset every time you soak it into your senses.
Did you know it has been researched and proven that having evergreen branches in your home or workplace can help reduce anxiety, stress & improve positive mental well being. This generates emotions such as joy, creativity, calm and concentration. I absolutely LOVE this part of creating designs for you, is a solid foundation of why I create, and it's benefited me too along this journey of life to offer fresh design to you ♡

It's 2025. These pictures are from the beginning of The Cultivated Bloom when I was dreaming big things, and just before the world stopped as we knew it and forced us to do things differently. Just one of the set backs this lady has gone through, and I'm still going!

The picture with antlers- for my bros celebration of life- I created this out of a bit of his life story ( minus his guitar I wanted to use) His ashes replaced the box in the centre. His sudden loss in 2020 triggered a bad cell in my Moms body to grow, resulting in her very painful loss, and the journey back to TROY where I grew up. I share my stories not for sympathy but for anyone who needs to know it's okay to talk about grief in our lives.

As you see by the design, I do things a bit differently. Always have really. I don't pressure myself anymore to make resolutions, or do what's the norm. Life is too short. We need to do things the way we want sometimes. The way our hearts and souls lead us. I do have a word for 2025 though. It's Instinct, and I'm going to try to trust it, even if it comes with hairpin turns, or looks different than everyone else's expectations while I continue to persevere & grow this business AND have quality family & friends time.

So what I'm saying I guess is DO YOU! Trust yourself on this journey of the unknown. Be ok with doing things out of the box. We are allowed to all look, feel and act differently while we grow, heal and Re- Bloom ♡. Look after YOU ♡.

Today I packed up all the Christmas for the business, revamped the studio and put her to rest for a bit. No insulation and -4 don't pair well to try to afford to heat her. She's ready for me to revisit in a few weeks once my LOVE Day offers are all figured out. ( Yes I've dubbed my studio a girl becauseI need more girl time)

This month I'll work on my taxes, design with some dried blooms, prepare wedding quotes, dream of Ontario roses arriving Feb 12th, sow seeds and check my dahlia tubers in the time between while giving myself extra self care during this hybernation period. Are you caring for YOU?

I'd like to thank you all for this 2024. Every like, comment or share helps immensely on this platform. Visits at my market set ups, and here to the studio help my business grow more every seasonal offering you purchase. I am grateful
I'll be focusing on the seasons/holidays, gatherings and workshops for 2025 these next few weeks. Thank you for sharing thoughts in what youd like to see or come create. Drop your ideas still in comments for me to ponder over. Subscription cards were all delivered for Christmas and still remain a wonderful gift to give for any celebration or even loss.Reminders will be sent in June for those Blossom Lovers out there! Wedding consult requests are coming in and I'm looking forward to working with brides to be who are drawn to my style of design. I'll be sowing seeds and working with local and Ontario growers to fullfill the fuller events with perfect blooms and creating a few more areas near the studio tp grow pretty patches of flowers for everyone to enjoy! I hope to see some of my clients soon as well as nee faces this year. Open Monday 10-4(pick ups until 5) Today the studio is closed as I work on orders, have a few Sunday pick ups, and answer incoming message inquiries.It tends to get very messy in this small space when Im slinging greenery around! There's still designs, fresh tulips, festive bundles, and two naked cypress trees if anyone wants to come create your own whoville tree. (If Today you could share my messyness! ) The pretty sugar plum fairy tree went to a new home yesterday for Christmas with a sweet young lady from London area, and the the Golden woodland treasure is still here shining. My heart felt very full with all those who popped into my tiny studio to feel the magic last week, thank you. Deliveries go out Monday afternoon once I close up at 4- so if you'd like a little something delivered please order by Monday and we can get something to Ridgetown or Blenheim areas.
