So - I blared She works hard for the money today to remind myself that I am doing enough while dancing my little heart out while my grand daughter watched and bounced in her play center . Mother Nature is not making things easy for me this year here, so I'm giving the gardens lots of extra love and care so they can BLOOM for an upcoming restorative garden workshop with some incredible ladies that you're not going to want to miss!
Blossom Lovers bundles were wrapped with local glads, sunflowers and lissianthus ~ snapdragon, basil, celosia, phlox and nine bark were hand picked to create this month's!

These goddesses wore the crown well! The sisters here helped straighten each others crowns with love their whole lives. Fitting, isn't it. I hope your anniversary was so fun Kelsey!!
A little background on flower crowns and part of why I love to help people create them here, and design them for weddings too! I love how uplifted ladies feel when they wear them!

I've been trying to look at my half full cup after a friend reminded me to stay positive. In the gardens, I find peace mostly, but occasionally, I start to see all the things I feel are "wrong."" and stretch myself thin, trying to create perfection, then it becomes a snowball of thoughts creeping in of things I feel aren't going right, and worrying about every ~ little~ thing ;) This is a good time to work through thoughts and set aside self-doubt, while giving yourself some compassion and grace. Lack of these can make us push too hard and forget to look after ourselves. So today, I'm making more herb water, sitting a spell, and cultivating self care. Then I'll re visit the flowers and see the beauty I've worked so hard at creating here ♡

I love running into couples casually, who I not only designed for but really connected with and can call a friend, and have a great chat over ice cream. Watching their adventure unfold after the wedding is beautiful ♡

I brought in Ontario sweetheart roses for one of my clients special bundles. Buttery yellow, white, dusty pink tones & soft chartreuse green blend well with a touch of undertone lavender.
Basically a pastel sherbert blend of fun!

Yes, I do make larger bundles than in my flower cart! Feel free to order any for pick up on the days I'm open. Deliveries take place weekly with no specific time but requests are filled within 24 - 36 hours to allow time to cut, condition and wrap or design. Most can be left on a porch in a shaded area for someone to come home to!

If you are new to my little business there are alot of reasons I moved back to Troy a few years ago.I'll share a bit tonight as I'm feeling nostalgic seeing this picture with our Grandparents.
I grew up here next door with my brother Lee. We were raised with simplicity, family, appreciation and alot of love. Our parents Ron & Jan, worked hard, loved hard, played, and were kind to people in the community. The owned a few businesses during our childhood years. Ron's Meat Market was in the Ridgetown block where the new Dollar store sits, the buildings and apartments burnt down creating so much loss to the town. Troy Sporting Goods was built by our family in Eatonville on #3 highway. We had so much fun during this phase of life and learned independence as our parents worked so hard to build their business. I drive by it now as over the years the building was added on numerous times and a new building is in now under construction. I miss that piece of property and it's memories fiercely, while I build this one into something beautiful
Yesterday was year four of losing Lee. His loss was the start of being led back home after talking about it for many years. I listened to music we once loved while designing flowers and tending gardens, mesmerized by the giant mother maple we played under and in with the Sterling boys who grew up here. (A swing hangs from a prefect branch for my grandchild to enjoy as I watch her joyfully giggle, her tiny sister learning her laugh as she watches with a huge smile. All in perfect timing.) My energy level was low, my heart was heavy but my passion for life is returning as I lift the veil of grief we have experienced in our family. You never completely forget, but you learn to move through the pain of loss more gracefully as you grow, and recover from the immense love lost.
The flowers I grow, gardens I'm tending and new faces I meet every week are all a part of the healing process. I will continue to work hard to take care of all my responsibilities of buying such a quaint piece of land here in Troy, as I beautify it and offer others a place to play creatively and heal with self care in nature, and myself a re-visit to my roots almost as deep as the maple and those we planted next door as children.. For all of this I am grateful and my heart is filling again.
If you are in grief, feel it but look after your heart and soul by doing things you love. Seek nature, water solitude. Whatever you need to keep going through the process. Care for yourself deeply. Let love in. Heal

Moving through the summer follow along my socials for open hours.The flower cart will always be stocked with pretty things for you. We put gravel at the end of the grass laneway to define it. If you see the Troy sign slow down. Canadian flag on tree your turning into the laneway very soon coming 402 way. Its a village with a speed limit that needs changed so don't blink ♡

Hey folks! Saturday Studio Pop Up on until 2. The cart is full, and I just finished making a fragrant wreath to dry with Lavender, sage and yarrow. It's tucked away in a dry place for now to do its magic! I've enjoyed your garden chats so far today!

The healing garden was a bit out of control. Ironic as that's how I felt creating her. The rudbeckia had taken over, bee balm was cut back and most moved due to mildew. Plants crowded were moved to give space for each to grow stronger and thr paths sre more welcoming if you take a look on Saturdays pop up. Anything looking a bit ruffled is in recovery and will.regsin it's roots soon. Take time to touch the Lavender, take in the sunset echinacea, and admire the yarrow.
Just filled the Cart here again, I close at 6, and am prepping for Saturday Studio Pop Up 9-2. There's alot of messages coming asking what Saturdays all about. It's an open Studio to take a peek in my she shed. I've set it up to browse or shop and then you can stroll the healing garden if you wish. Just ask for a tour! Enter at laneway by sign please.

We had the best mini vacation, and now I'll sleep to wake and cut flowers for you all this week ♡
It's always a challenge getting all my adult children together for anything. My oldest son was an absolute no on this one and we missed his wit but had a great time. We laughed, sang, cried, laughed more, talked about all the things, stayed up way too late, ate smores, slept hard, and spent alot of time on this quaint pond ♡ Life is short take the moments when you can! This is one of my whyd for having my own hours and business ♡

Mmmmm. The fragrance of fresh lavender is so calming to me. While cutting it I could feel my chest opening wider and my lungs inhaling in the relaxation from the aroma. I made a few fresh lavender teas to sip as well. It won't be around much longer but I'll have what I can in the cart this week starting on Wednesday from 2-6.
Saturday night we sttended a market at the Lavender Farm in Sparta. It was so magical and I highly recommend a trip there this week before the mass display they have has completely budded out and is done for July. I left there inspired and kind of wanting to just live there really, ;) you'll see if you go. For now I'll wander my property and take in the plants I have here, keep eye on what's drying and dream up a few more things. Happy lavender season 💜
If you're coming from 401 way,( speed limit is 80 btw) slow it down at the Troy sign, we are just a few lanes past the Canadian flag hanging from our neighbours tree where sign is by the road. This month is emotional for me. I've slipped back into creating some love for you all, and they are so pretty ♡ ! The very thought of Valentines orders after Mom died was no where in the books. Even though my soul truly needed a creative outlet to heal, the thought of cleaning 100s of fresh flowers daunted me. I forgot about the magic of dried flowers. Their feel, the comfort of playful design, the reminder of what's to come in the gardens, memories of dried flowers in older peoples homes so many years ago that I loved. Are you feeding the birds? I filled all my feeders Saturday. My feathered friends were scarce, I felt the cats had scared them all away.. Then, they returned this morning to make me smile. Ground feeder Juncas, and a very mean bluejay that I yelled at through the patio door. Yes I speak to wildlife, not only Wanda my kitty.. This little lamp I found was added to a commissioned healing piece as the sweetest reminder that we, too, like the birds, will be taken care of through nature and those who love us. #seasonalfloristry #flowertherapy #winter
I took a chance and brought in a large amount of fresh blooms for Christmas this year. Not Kims regular stuff. No, the bold stuff, the big higher end amaryllis. The colour I really never use. Red. I know it signifies so many holidays but honestly, I'm not a fan. But..you are. So I took a chance. You know what happened? YOU. I met people of all walks that came here with open vulnerable hearts sharing stories of what Christmas looked like to you. Scooping up those red spray roses, fresh table designs and mixed bundles and giving them new homes. It felt like a pull. Each one of you. Like serendipity. Sharing life's vulnerable stuff. Feeling comfortable enough to do that in my safe little studio where I weave dreams and beautiful things together. I'm so grateful for everyone who follows, likes, shares and visits. Enjoy those ontario grown blooms, especially the red ones ;). Freshen up your water every few days, fresh cut the stems if time and enjoy. I loved receiving so much support with what seemed like a big jump out here in the tiny "village" of Troy Blenheim Ontario. Creating the "formula" last week for a very unique HP themed wedding. Ontario grown garden roses were sourced for her love of them. It was a beautiful soft, warm fall colour palette in the end, and the last one of the year.
SOLD OUT OF FRESH BLOOMS♡♡- Gently wrapping the very last cutting of my dahlias for you. The Kart is up by the studio so take a peek in and say hi! The grass lane is open to pulling in, and turning around from 9-3 this chilly Saturday. Brrrrr! I'm not sure if I'm ready for it to be this cold but tonight we are dipping way down!!! The gardens will go into hibernation. The dahlia tubers will be dug up ( bring a bag ot box if your purchasing Seeet Nathalie tuber clumps freshly dug $15) and the winter design offers are twirling in my mind ♡♡♡
