We can’t deny that she is one of the best! Darlene Tan - Salazar, Wedding Planner & Emcee

We are just so happy for the couple, Kiel and Cham Gallermo-Famaran 💜 it is indeed a happy celebration 🎉

We started the wedding with a fun game that allowed everyone to exhibit their competitive nature 🙂

The entourage danced in front, and the couple sang for their grand entrance. Definitely this wedding booked in 2019 was worth the wait for the guests whom the couple really wanted to include in their celebration 🙂

Oh and may I just say, even if the rain was non stop that afternoon till evening, it didn’t dampen the spirits of those who wanted to show their support 🙂

As an emcee, what happens during the earlier part of the day matters:

1) if super long and early preps, sometimes, the bride and groom are too tired to enjoy the reception — they are ready to sleep and they don’t remember half of what transpired

2) if very little food is prepared for cocktails, guests are cranky by the time we start the reception — no one wants to go hungry for hours while waiting for the bride and groom to finish their postnuptial shoot and retouch

So kudos to all the hair and make up artists and photo and video teams who have mastered their craft so much they are able to have great outputs without needing so much time to finish.

Points to consider :)

Let’s discuss these practical ideas that usually get taken for granted:

1) Members of team bride and team groom are needed for the shoot but it is not required that the sisters of the groom join team bride for their shoot, neither the brothers of the bride join team groom during their shoot.

Let’s consider their comfort. Are they used to the others in the team/family? Or will they feel awkward? They might get tired moving from one area of preps to another just to be part of both family and ento shoots. The preps shoot is 1/3 of the day, we still have 2/3 for them to go through.

2) Steaming of clothes shouldn’t be done on the day, neither is it the duty of the coordinators to do that. If a problem happens while steaming on the day, it will not be easy to fix or find replacements, so best to avoid doing this on the day.

3) If the clothes are problematic (too tight, too loose), have them fixed prior to the wedding. Safety pins will not be enough to fix terribly loose clothes. And if it’s too tight, it will not be easy to loosen it. (Of course, coords will do their best to fix accidents — zippers suddenly coming undone and the like.)

Bonus/ IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY AT THIS TIME: Bring mighty bond or shoe glue. So many shoes get broken on the day because they haven’t been worn for some time or they are old stock which have been kept in mall storage all throughout quarantine. BETTER YET, bring extra shoes which have proven dependable days leading up to the big day.

It was a simple program that they wanted — one game which the guests really went all out with in terms of being competitive and just the right number of heartfelt speeches.

They had a nice first dance, a good mother and son dance, a touching brother and sister dance in lieu of the father and daughter dance but I think what caused people to tear up was the dance of the bride with her little nephew. She wanted 2 dances in lieu of the father - daughter dance & carefully chose a song for their dance as well. ❤️
