Top artistry was on show at Wyld on Monday evening - it's just that everyone was a bit sozzled I guess? 🤣 Teams were asked to draw and hand in a Nativity Scene and Rudolf for extra points 👊

We finished off "Advent" quizzing with a fabulous night at Wyld, with lots of fun & wonderful shots & cocktails in particular (no, I'm not working tomorrow!!!).
Although the scores were great across the board, it was Wyld's most regular and experienced Speed-quizzers which took the top 5 positions, "All By My Elf"🥇taking top-spot, and the prized Christmas winners magnet, after two weeks as runner-up. Hurrah! No tears before bed-time this week. "Izzy Whizzy" scooped the prize for the nearest the bull question (check out the Classic FM's 2024 Top 30 of the Nation's carols for next year's question?)
Of our irregular teams, the wonderful "Jingle Balls" just pipped BME & SOJJ to 6th place, and got a chocolate reindeer🦌for their efforts.
We'll be back next Monday for some seasonal Panto quizzing (oh yes we will) & the remainder of the Christmas magnets will have to be won...

The final leader board from last night's Smartphone Christmas Quiz (scores adjusted for the "Blitzer" question have only made a difference between 4th and 5th). "Merry Twitmas" blitzed it and got their hands on some fridge magnets at last! (and special Christmas ones at that!)

⛄️A full-house for the Prince of Wales Christmas Quiz - and top-notch quizzing.
For the third time running, the "Princes of Darkness" top the leader board, although it was very close, with "Silent Knights" just 4 points (out of 75) behind & "Crackers Utd" only 1 & 1/2 more points back in 3rd. As a result of their hat-trick of wins, the Princes of Darkness will be awarded a handicap next time 🤨

I felt the need to publish a with/without Bonus Wheel Leaderboard again this week, as I was feeling a little bad for 'All By My Elf', who'd played such a blinder & had a healthy lead until 'Mal's Christmas Party' switch places with her. But as it turns out, the 30 pointer they won at the end would have seen them top the table regardless. The team which suffered the most was actually 'The Stoned Roses', who would have come third but for 'Cumsquad' getting a boost to the top while they were rewarded with a -10 penalty on their spin of the wheel. Sorry guys - better luck next week in the Christmas music quiz....

'No Clue' rose to the challenge of being without the grown-ups to win for the second week running. Shuttlecocks then went and won the bingo for the second time in three weeks (both times while in second place). I hope I didn't slur too many questions 🤭🍻
P.S. The result was in no way influenced by the gift of biscuits 😁

A convincing win for 'Greggnog' tonight, with 'Chestnuts' & 'Whiskeypedia' giving a good account of themselves. A very enjoyable night of quizzing with lots of my favourite teams. Thank you all for your support and good humour 👌- see you next year!

It all went in favour of 'No Clue' this week. Topped the table, got the 'nearest the bull' and then went on to clear-up in the Bingo - £20 of bar tabs and £58 cash. 'Can We See Clearly Now', 'Pick & Mix' & 'Izzy Whizzy' all went to the top in the latter stages but couldn't cling on for victory this time.
