From Banking to Creating!
Designing or creating something from nothing has been a passion since the 90’s! Sitting in my interior design classes in High School I had high hopes and wanted to attend SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). Then, I decided to “take a year off”. This ended in a summer of retail and eventually 20 years in the Banking world! Finance! Imagine, a creative mind in the world of FINANCE! It was tedious to say the least. However, I learned tremendous life lessons that I wouldn’t change for the world. Fast forward and I have finally determined to do what I love... CREATE! It’s BIG SCARY and I am super nervous! I am currently enrolled in the New York School of Art and Design and will complete my studies in March 2020. I am looking forward to taking what I already know how to do and learning the ins and outs of how to do it in a more professional way and use that to my advantage. I have not decided if I want to plan events or simply help clients create their event space. I am, however, looking forward to learning and evolving my abilities!
