Collective 4891 Our events and projects invite people of all backgrounds, experience levels, cultures, and identities to create with and inspire each other.

Organising events and projects around the idea that art has the power to heal, build community, have important and constructive conversations, and shift culture for the better 🌱 Collective 4891 is a group of people with different skills that organises around the idea that art has the power to heal, build community, have important and constructive conversations, and ultimately, shift culture for th

e better. One of our first big projects was a zine project that collected artwork of different mediums themed around community care, which invited over $1100 to be donated towards local organisations that value anti-oppression and specifically, anti-Black racism work. With our recent expansion of the team, we are looking forward to planning events that cover a wider variety of art mediums and themes that resonate with more people.

It's Collective 4891's 6th birthday! 🎉

What began as monthly open mics and art events hosted by friends in their apartment (apartment # 4891, in case you've been wondering! 😉) has grown into a collective that has had the immense privilege of being in community with YOU over the past six years. Since the beginning, you have lovingly welcomed us into your art, your spaces, your stories, and your lives—and we couldn't be more grateful. Together, we've published zines, hosted workshops and hang-outs, raised funds for causes we care about, and created meaningful connections that have allowed and encouraged us to keep doing what we love.

Lots has been going on behind the scenes here at Collective 4891, and we're so excited for whatever the future holds for us as we continue to evolve. To anyone who has helped us organize, contributed your skills, attended an event, submitted your art, or followed our work—THANK YOU! And, we hope you stick around to see what's next 🫶
