Shooting for the stars

Ryan Sotelo is a travel photographer from Northeastern Pensylvania. This is his story:

In school we are taught that when we look to the night sky, the stars we see are in the past. Their light emitting occurred eons ago, yet we are just seeing the moment now. Like photography, it is a moment stopped in time. A camera is a time machine. With the click of a shutter - it stops. For that brief second, you are in control.

What started as a passion for capturing the night sky turned into a career of setting out to capture everything else the world had to offer. I started traveling and filming wherever I went. There was so much more out there than simply the stars in my backyard. But I never stopped searching, and in my never-ending adventures, I sought to stop time and capture moments that could be cherished forever.

So began this page, in hopes of expanding my sense of capturing the moment, seeing new places, and meeting new people. I invite you to be part of my story so long as I can be a part of yours. There is so much to see in this world and as I discovered, shooting for the stars is only the beginning to seeing it all.
