Stoked to get the news Boardmasters are sponsoring a scholarship program with my DJ school Amplify SW! Details on how to apply will be coming soon and the emphasis will be on prioritising minorities in the music industry 🎶

I can’t believe the crazy support my not-for-profit company has had, and it’s so great to get this level of recognition after only a year and a half of operating.

When I started DJing myself I was surprised by the misogyny I experienced at the start of my journey, which is shared by countless other minority artists. This got blown open by the conference I attended last week at Falmouth University with Vick Bains key note speech revealing shocking statistics. When I speak about experiences I get negativity from white male DJs and promoters, private messages and phone calls to say it’s better to NOT speak out and hate speech. Instead of listening to them I started my own event brand Freestyler Events, started the Amplify youth project to inspire more teens and promote positive mental health. And now have almost 20k followers across all my social media platforms with people supporting the work I’m doing. Building community through music.

If you’re not happy with something, BE the change you want to see in the world.

It blows my mind that in just over a week we will be celebrating Xmas here in the UK.

In the meantime there is a genocide happening. While you’re panicking about whether you’ve remembered the cranberry sauce I implore you spend sometime thinking about what is going on in the world right now. If you feel numb to it then please look up Reem. Reem was 3 years old and her grandad was her best friend. It would have been her birthday two days before Xmas. She died alongside her little brother. Once you see you can’t unsee. Parents are carrying their children’s body parts in bin bags. If people survive bombings they might need limbs amputated, without anaesthetic.

They are using white phosphorus now, google it, look up the effects, look up the children.

Making a change takes action and making our voices heard. Speak out, see if you can join an event, I know times are hard but any donation helps. Strength in numbers and solidarity 🇵🇸 one love 😢😢😢

Well the wknd was one for the books!

I think every dj has certain tracks they play at home which might not fit in with the usual events they play. Last Sat I was invited to play a set at a rave where I had the chance to play out some of this music from my soul! Proper old skool/rave/jungle vibes by some of my fave producers. It was an honour to go full SEND with the ladies at the front. Big love to for having me play and and for dancing for me.

We are the women with sweaty faces. We don’t wear heels, we wear nike air max. We don’t pose for the camera cos we got our stank faces on and are too busy dancing. We yell ‘f**k off’ on a decent drop and wave our arms in the air.

Strong women excite men and intimidate boys, so there is only one thing you gotta think about, are you scared or are you excited 😉

My first day of being self-employed, yikes!

Freshly back from Ibiza and feel super inspired by the connections and vibe. I’ve left a well paid job to throw myself into an ideology I’m super passionate about. Feeling totally empowered by the support from family and friends so thank you 🙏

The summer saw some super successful events by my new company ! Driven by the ethos and vision:

👉 Curate events to promote equality through diverse line ups! As a female artist in a male dominated scene and a mother of daughters we need to pave the way for the future.

👉 Creating inclusive and safe spaces for ravers by welcoming and encouraging people of all genders, sexualities, races, abilities and backgrounds to our parties. Come as you are and be your authentic self 💜⭐️

👉 Bury the stigma of rave and electronic music 🎵

👉 Create rather than consume! Parties with zero waste policies and plastic free ♻️

👉 Pay the DJs

👉 Create safe spaces for young people to feel valued and explore their creativity through music through . Looking forward to running our series of educational workshops to inspire young people, with an emphasis on promoting positive mental health.
