The buzz that is…walking into a getting ready location with the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets✨

Delivering bouquets is one of my most nerve-wracking yet exciting points of a wedding day. As I’m tying the bouquets, the ladies are typically getting their hair and make up done, there’s usually mimosas, and I can feel the general excitement of the day is brewing!

Yikes! I feel like I’m behind on my IG game but I’ve been so busy with enquiries, proposals and planning my mom’s one year memorial coming up this November in Calgary!

That one is going to be special. A tented backyard soirèe - heated tent of course, full of beautiful things I think reflected my mom’s style. Cashmere velvet linens, gold cutlery, gold-rimmed dinnerware with a floral accent plate, and orchids for centrepieces. Not to mention family and friends travelling from all over.

It’ll be one to remember and, I feel, a chance for us to spoil her once again🤍

Still not over Saturday’s tablescape✨ To remember my mom, who I so wish I could share this with, I honoured her subtly in my design: 🤍 Hyacinths were one of her favourites and inherently, one of mine 🤍Table number 12, for her birthday 🤍Daffodils, to represent @cancersociety. I was sending videos and photos to my husband and my dad before the show started. I was so nervous. And then there were a few split second moments I had where I wanted to text my mom also, then the heartbreak of knowing, I can’t. But I’m sure she knows and was there with me in spirit. Admiring the florals as she always did as one of my biggest supporters. This design was for me, in the hopes of inspiring others. When design comes into play for my clients, these are the things I try to capture. Our Aesthetic

My overall aesthetic incorporates a little bit of garden style with a modern element and is fairly organic, flowing, airy, romantic, textural, and natural. I do love some silver and gold mercury glass vessels, but have also been gravitating towards natural elements. Plaster, stone, ceramic – they all offer a different but still elegant look once paired with our floral style!

Our Approach

When booking with Kendon Design Co., I take the time to get to know my couples, not just take your order and fulfill it. It’s very important to me to only take on a limited amount of weddings so that I’m able to carefully invest my time in getting to know who you are. I do this so that I can execute your vision to the highest standard and give you a personalized experience.
