This sweet setup is stunning from every angle & that’s just what I aim for when I design your floor plan & decor.
It’s more than making a map. It’s about crafting a space that works for you + your guests + your event flow + timeline + aesthetics. It’s a tricky little puzzle & I live for it!

It’s the self assured, comfortable, confident, fully present smirk I work so dang hard to make happen. This is a bride without a care in the world.
She’s not worried about what time dinner will start or the extra guests who arrived without an RSVP. She’s not thinking about the flowers we’re repurposing to turn up the volume on her reception decor. Hell. She’s not even worried about the weather because we provided blankets & heaters & lashed that gorgeous arch down like it was a kayak on a roof rack in Wyoming (iykyk).
She’s thinking about how she just married the love of her life. How she cried a little during their private vows. And how good it feels to be beautiful & loved on this incredibly special day.
I know you want to be this bride.

This little dessert can have a big visual impact & I always include it in your wedding design & floor plan.
One of my favorite spots for wedding cakes is the center of the dance floor. It serves as a stunning focal point during dinner & then after you cut it, my team & I do a little magic trick to make it disappear in seconds so you can go right into your first dance.
And truthfully my hands were absolutely shaking tying this perfect bow 🎀

Look at this beautiful couple. On a beautiful mountain. On a beautiful wedding day.
I have the honor of seeing many brides on their wedding day & they are ALL gorgeous. But I literally could NOT take my eyes off of Steph in this diaphanous, delicately textured & layered silk gown. It was crystal clear she was completely comfortable & completely herself🩷 Dare to be a little different when choosing your dress. Be yourself & please take your sweet time.

Warm candle light on crisp white linens.
Bold type wrapped in soft vellum & silk.
An abundance of blooms against a granite mountainside.
Steph’s feminine flare balanced by Logan’s stoicism 🩶

Wedding days go by in a flash! Let’s make sure you have time to get gorgeous & take things at a relaxed pace. Here are some of my favorite places to add a little buffer in your timeline:
30 min for a meal before HAMU
30 min for dressing (cute pajamas to gown)
15 min respite before 1st look
20-30 min respite after photos & before ceremony
10 min respite after cocktails & before reception entrance

From our first planning meeting S + L knew he would wear a burgundy suit with custom details. But when we went through their inspiration images, there was precious little color. This couple was brave enough to let me work my magic & elevate their design with a bespoke autumnal pallet that honored the personalities of both the bride & groom.

Embrace the space.

Your venue just might be your most powerful tool in designing your wedding. Selecting a scenic spot is straightforward, but after that babes you gotta embrace the space!

Work with what you’ve got. Let the room speak to you & be open to its best features, views & lighting being in unexpected spots! When I walk a venue, I’m looking for natural stopping points or where folks may instinctively gather or places my eyes rest & body relaxes.

We can spend a lot of time (and 💰💰) trying to mask features of your venue, but it’s often more effective to devote your resources to the areas you love & downplay the ones you don’t.

A + A embraced the expansive, rectangular shape of The Summit & created long dining tables with gorgeous repetition 🤩 Their unique layout put all eyes on the sweethearts table, cake & breathtaking view. It was also an homage to their love of Harry Potter.

My favorite places to help couples plan & celebrate their weddings are spots that they love & feel connected to. I grew up in the mountains & deserts of Utah. I was married in the Tetons & live near the Rocky Mountain. That special pull to be in nature when you wed… I feel that.
But I also know your options for a mountain or destination wedding go way beyond the conventional resort or rustic aesthetic.
Dreaming of a mountain wedding that pushes the limits of traditional design & is truly out there? We should chat!

Spring snow storms have me remembering Angella + Austin’s wedding! It was a miraculous blue bird day after weeks of heavy snow & avalanches. The sunshine was almost as bright as their smiles & the wind nearly as warm as their love for each other 🩵 It was a particularly magical day in the mountains with a singularly bad a$$ couple.

When we work together, we’re going to have fun, be organized & get creative. For me, the joy of planning has always been in both the process & the outcome. I really dig bringing structure & method to what can feel like a chaotic or overwhelming process. I also get a real kick out of collaboration. We’ll dive into traditions & then brake any that don’t suite you or your vision for a joyful celebration! I love to work in new places & to create memorable experiences.
