I don’t talk about it often on this account but part of the reason I’ve been quieter lately is because I’ve been working with an incredible trauma-informed foster care program at Northern Rivers Foster Care!
As someone who easily could’ve ended up in care without a village (and whose chosen family is made of many people in a similar boat), the work we do has really changed how I see the world.
This is pretty low-stakes, but our agency is having a holiday photo contest and I’m trying to rep our incredible team in gloversville (some of whom are/were foster parents themselves!) to support them in a win and share how hard they work year round.
