Great news regarding an amendment to the marriage act!, this has been amended to permanently provide couples with the option to have their notice of intended marriage (NOIM) witnessed remotely, via audio-visual link, as well as in person. Further amendments are also in place which can be discussed with couples during their meeting, this will allow celebrants and couples flexibility and make it easier to remotely witness the NOIM.
