Faith over Fear!
July 2019, I made a difficult (I thought) decision to accept a promotion to a new Department. I had 20+ years at the current Department, it was career su***de. But God. I reevaluated my career. I was at the top step in a position with no levels. I was not challenged 😴 and used 50% of my talent and abilities. So, I stepped out on faith. Nov 2019, started my new position. Dec 2019, moved to (sitting/acting) in the next level of the position - Pandemic 😫 hit but I reported to work, never took COVID leave, made myself visible, and accepted assignments that were way above my pay grade. I felt valued. I executed. June 2020 offered new position but we were on a hiring freeze 🥶. Lawd, c'mon. October 2021, accepted promotion. October 2021 studying for next promotion.
Moral of the story. Know your worth in every situation. Venture out of your comfort zone. Have faith over fear.
