Honored to have been asked to participate on a panel about travel trends. It is always so much fun & a lively discussion when I get an opportunity to gather with my ATTA & GW colleagues. Thank you to GW for hosting in such a Monumental venue! Thank you to everyone who participated & engaged in the thoughtful discussion & networking. I never pass on an opportunity to talk about my passion concerning regenerative agriculture, climate smart innovation, agritourism & how it can possibly help to save our planet 🌎 I’m hoping to continue the conversation on many of these important topics & bring forward some positive action, especially on expanding the definition & accessibility to adventure travel & the impact tourism has on the environment.

I really enjoyed going to visit the gardens & Bamboo Road while walking the trail back to the station where we caught the Romantic Train. We passed by many people dressed in traditional clothing they had rented for photo taking purposes. Managing expectations: It was really crowded in a relatively small area so keep that in mind when you are thinking you will be able to get some pictures with “just you” and the beautiful road with the tall bamboo…it’s probably not going to happen. 👘🎋🪷

Johnny Cash once told Tom Petty, “You’re a good man to ride the river with” & I can now relate because I was fortunate to ride the Saskatchewan rivers & lakes with some really good men (& women but they deserve their own post): James (FAM trip bestie, fishing coach extraordinaire, medic, humor creator & boat rhythm technician), Henry, Reverse & Ivan (Dene guides/experts at handling ALL the things, danger navigators & shore lunch masters) & Matt (hot tub/cold plunge buddy, camera consultant, medic & visual storyteller) Thank You!! Shore lunch is quite the treat after you have been fishing all morning for your lunch. Lloyd Lake Lodge co-owner Chef Derrick & our very talented guides Reverse, Ivan & Henry prepared this amazing meal right on the shore over a fire. This was some of the best fried fish & cowboy beans I’ve ever had!! During our visit to @wanuskewin Heritage Park with @tourismsask we had the opportunity to witness the talents of Lawrence Roy, a member of Little Pine First Nation. He has been hoop dancing since elementary school & he now dances with 30 hoops! Lawrence says it keeps him in shape & healthy with a little help from the Wanuskewin peach tea. It was mesmerizing to watch him contort his body to the rhythm & he exuded such joy in his dancing, storytelling & teaching. I am so grateful I have the opportunity to participate with @tourismsask on a truly epic FAM through one of my new favorite destinations: Saskatchewan. Brenda, our @remaimodern docent was phenomenal at taking many years of art history & summarizing it into a short tour of the amazing galleries. She conveys such passion for her expertise & she was the perfect leader for our morning modern art experience. She even helped make our souvenir buttons while we were snacking on some delicious eats by @hearth.restaurant 🖼️ 🎨 If you are in Saskatoon, I highly recommend a visit to Remai Modern in the River Landing neighborhood in the heart of downtown. #exploresask #exploresaskatoon #remaimodern #saskwithdianne
