YUP. im looking for a studio assistant! this one lady show needs an extra hand and i’m pretty stoked about it.

im looking for someone who can help with back end admin tasks like answering emails and scheduling, project exploration, ordering supplies, and more. as well as processing flowers and pulling hard goods each week at the studio in Dexter. About 10-15 hours per week, some remote and some in studio. definitely opportunities to learn more about floral design, gardening and the events industry based on interest and experience!

finally catching my breath after one of the most tumultuous busy growth years of my and this business’ life! steady planning away at 2022, missing ladder days and eucalyptus hands, but also very very grateful for a little rest. we’ve got two more weddings this year, then that’s a wrap!

throwback to this insane hanging garden we made last october 🌀 this was one of my first really big hanging installs and made me absolutely fall in love with hanging crazy stuff from the ceiling - from figuring out the mechanics to adding last little touches i truuuly love big floral moments like this.

alright wedding season, we’re ready for ya. t minus two weeks until our biggest wedding of the year which kicks it all off! after that it’s almost every weekend until november. we. are. ready.

question i have been asked the most this week: doors my mom/dad/uncle need a boutonnière or corsage?
homegirl. don’t let the pressure get to you. there is really nothing you *need* to do unless you want to do it. it’s your wedding. throw the traditions out the window on the highway. make it yours.

do you want them to have one? do you want to pay for it? will they value it and feel special for it? will you value it? if the answer is “meh” to any of those,
skip em. if “yes!” then let’s do it! they are fantastic tiny pieces of art that are very lovely.
don’t get my wrong, i actually LOVE making boutonnières and i think they’re the cutest thing in the world. i’d wear one everyday if i had the time to make one. but are they absolutely necessary? nope. not unless you say so. don’t forget that you get to make those choices.

i was absolutely butterflies in my stomach giddy while i was on my way to forage this smokebush. i just keep finding more reasons to love this job. roaming around the side of a random highway foraging satisfies this part of me that really loves adventure. thank you and for the spot deets 🙃 my wedding this week is allll about smokebush and super unique flowers and i am STOKED.

ive been really really bad at posting on instagram. the truth is though, i just haven’t had a lot to say. i’m deep in the thick of it. of planning your weddings. last minute details. bridal bouquet in hand. i don’t have brain space for the wise ramblings that i feel like i should be posting here… so here’s a beautiful photo that took a few weeks back 🙃 and there’s more where that came from!

locally grown garden roses thanks to ✨ without a doubt the sweetest treat for a florist! super excited to include these in a bridal bouquet this weekend. soooo grateful for the local growers who make magic like this happen.
