Couples Workshop: S*x, Romance, and Fondness tomorrow morning! We have a few spots open for more couples, if you are available to join us tomorrow morning for a very fun and interesting workshop on S*x, Fondness, and Romance.

In this workshop we'll learn about the 10 things that sexually satisfied couples do. We'll learn ways to keep turning toward each other, how to nurture fondness and admiration, and discover ways that happy couples keep the romance going, choosing and knowing how to fall in love over and over.

Doors open 10:15. We start right at 10:30. Come early to find parking,get settled, and grab a cup of coffee.

Relationship Tip! Choosing to Keep Memories Alive:

We so often hear the importance of staying in the present for those we care about. However, doing just that leaves out an important cornerstone to the foundation of our relationships. At least once a week, make a point to remember and share a positive memory from earlier in your relationship.

Verbalizing our happy memories has several positive effects:
-it keeps good memories from fading
-it makes the other person feel important, valued, and special
-it helps you both focus on the positive
-it reminds you both of your shared history which brings you closer
-it's a practical strategy to prevent you from taking each other for granted

This sounds like something of a no-brainer. But in the busy-ness of our daily lives and routines, purposeful reflection on the past can lose priority to other important and seemingly urgent topics of discussion. However, research shows that couples that often talk about their early years of falling in love, report greater satisfaction and happiness later in life and have lower divorce rates. This tip isn't just for couples, though! Saying, "Hey, remember that time when we...." to a friend, neighbor, co-worker, or family member on a regular basis will nurture those relationships, too.

Celebrating today with the new Mr. and Mrs. Josh and Kat West! A spectacular masquerade ball with crystal chandeliers and everyone dressed to the nines, and the most loving, down to earth, caring family you’ll ever meet. And their artistry in the decorations and masks, and sisters performing the music, was incredible! My heart is so full for you two, and the entire extended family.

The weddings I've officiated these last few months have had something very much in common with each other: beautiful, loving, joyous, supportive families. Even the smaller weddings, filled with more loving family and friends than most people could ever hope for. The deep love and true friendships that have lasted for years just shines a light of blessings on these folks. It just thrills me to celebrate the abundance and good fortune these folks have had, not just in their partnership but in their larger set of family and friends. And it makes for great parties after the ceremonies!

I have a couple getting married on September 23. Many of you have met them at our workshops: Chris and Alexandria. The groom was just diagnosed with leukemia. He just found out a few days ago and is hospitalized between now and the wedding but they believe he can be at least temporarily discharged for the wedding day at a park in the mountains.

As you can imagine, this is making many things about the wedding so much more challenging... everything is very challenging for this couple right now.

I have volunteered to help find decorations for the wedding. If anyone has table decorations, things to decorate the site of the ceremony, or other wedding day decorations or supplies they might be willing to loan, please message me.

Let’s see what we can do to make this wedding day a little easier and show support for a great couple who has some bigger worries than decorations in the next three weeks. I am happy to pick up and drop off!
