At the moment, it's just a couple piles of pieces, but this is close to the halfway point of one of the armory's modular kidney belts.

One of the best selling creations, the compliments I've received regarding their quality and durability have meant the world to me. Apparently the 8 oz (~3mm) thickness it much greater than what some other cheaper options offer. I'm happy people like them, as they're great to make from the scrap leather that comprises 90% of what the shop uses in our day to day operations.

I'd like an opinion from followers if y'all have a second.

I've been working on some stock inventory items, including these vambraces. If you were buying these, would it be worth some extra $ to you to customize the color of the stitching? How much?

In the construction itself it makes basically no difference to me, except that I can't keep a hundred differently stitched pairs in inventory. I'm thinking like $10-20, to offset the cost of buying a color I don't already have. Is that too much? A pair of these is $200, accounting for just time and materials with no other customizations. Thoughts?

Creating a new design based off of a cheap costume piece I got off Amazon. This is basically a copy that I added some layering to for greater thickness. On of the things I don't like about it is that rides really high on the head.

I think I'm going to change the way the side pieces hold the top bits (those are technical terms by the way, tm tm tm) so that they arch more, though I may just skip attaching them to the sides at all, as I'm trying to come up with a way to make it adjustable so tgat it can fit more people.

The goal here is to come up with an adjustable helm (one size fits most) that is cost effective at a price point of about $100, which is why it has rapid rivets instead of stitching.

Hopefully we'll have more updates on this project in the future and a saleable pattern if someone of y'all crafty folk want to make your own.

Working in my own lil dark corner today making some Chinese mountain armor scales for an etsy customer.

These things are super cool and I'm surprised they don't sell very well.

For now, this is how dirty my workbench is.
