New items going to be going up in our shop.

Women's Demi Cuirass with corset style back. Fits 36-42" chest.

Price is going to be right around $250, but if someone wants this one we're going to let it go for $150 due to some small flaws that crept in as we tested out a new glue for adding a lining.

Hit us up if this is of interest to you.

While a few posts regarding current commisions work are on their way, we wanted to let people know that we're running a sale on all of our lamellar kits and scale packs over on our Etsy page at skullandsword.etsy.com.

If you've been considering armor, our easy to assemble lamellar is a versatile platform to begin or augment your kit.

For the next month, all scale kits and packs are %25 off. Get em while it's cold.

A quick drop this time. Working on a breastplate/demi-cuirass to compliment althea clients kidney belt and provide full torso coverage.

The design is a modification of an existing pattern to incorporate some of the elements of the client's heraldry.

If you look closely at the picture and are versed in Belegarth heraldry you might be able to sleuth out who it's for. If you do that, keep your mouth shut and let them do a reveal when they're ready.

Hope y'all like it, we're trying hard to get better at including process pictures. Next up on this project will be finishing the edges and tooling the back plate. Client has asked for heraldry on the back so you won't know who murdered you until they're already gone.

In case anyone is wondering, Skull and Sword Armory currently has open commision slots. Shoot us a message and let us help you make your dream a reality.

At the moment, it's just a couple piles of pieces, but this is close to the halfway point of one of the armory's modular kidney belts.

One of the best selling creations, the compliments I've received regarding their quality and durability have meant the world to me. Apparently the 8 oz (~3mm) thickness it much greater than what some other cheaper options offer. I'm happy people like them, as they're great to make from the scrap leather that comprises 90% of what the shop uses in our day to day operations.

I'd like an opinion from followers if y'all have a second.

I've been working on some stock inventory items, including these vambraces. If you were buying these, would it be worth some extra $ to you to customize the color of the stitching? How much?

In the construction itself it makes basically no difference to me, except that I can't keep a hundred differently stitched pairs in inventory. I'm thinking like $10-20, to offset the cost of buying a color I don't already have. Is that too much? A pair of these is $200, accounting for just time and materials with no other customizations. Thoughts?

Pictured: Two pair of black textured vambraces, one with red stitching, the other with black.

Creating a new design based off of a cheap costume piece I got off Amazon. This is basically a copy that I added some layering to for greater thickness. On of the things I don't like about it is that rides really high on the head.

I think I'm going to change the way the side pieces hold the top bits (those are technical terms by the way, tm tm tm) so that they arch more, though I may just skip attaching them to the sides at all, as I'm trying to come up with a way to make it adjustable so tgat it can fit more people.

The goal here is to come up with an adjustable helm (one size fits most) that is cost effective at a price point of about $100, which is why it has rapid rivets instead of stitching.

Hopefully we'll have more updates on this project in the future and a saleable pattern if someone of y'all crafty folk want to make your own.

These things are super cool and I'm surprised they don't sell very well.

An amazing Etsy customer sent us this pic showing how they used our scales to flesh out their kit. I absolutely dig the Northern European influence here, it's a style I can never get enough of.

Big drop of some photos after long months of silence. We're bad at being entrepreneurs, but we love making pouches and bags.

From a fun little dragonhead pouch to a pretty beefy ragged edge book pouch these were fun builds.

Man. I am real bad at keeping up with this. We've been working on pouches recently, specifically designs that have very little hardware. Here are some exampled of our current favorite.

Hey y'all cats and kittens. It's been a while and we've just finished getting set up in our new space. In order to justify some shop time, it would be good to have some new orders. To that end we're having a sale. Now through December 16th, we'll be running a sale on our lamellar scale packs and kits. %20 off for the next month. It might be worth noting that this is the first time we've put the Chinese Mountain Armor scales on sale, and we know some of you have had your eye on them.

As a further note, our commisons calendar is opening up again. After closing it to new projects over the last two months, we're ready to start looking at doing new things again. Drop us a line to discuss that project you've been wanting to get somone on or with just an idea of what you're considering.

It's been a while, and we just moved into a new place, but here are a couple things that have been a long time coming. This was commissioned some time ago, and the customer was good enough to wait while we took our time to get it right. The helm is a standard of the armory and we've gotten good enough at building them that the price might come down soon, inquire if interested.

The mask is a custom piece based on the customer request of a "tribal-wolf" mask with an open mouth so that breathing and talking wouldn't be inhibited. They've seen the pictures and have told us they love it and that's the most important thing. Many thanks to our artist assistants for the artwork that became the tooled mempo mask. While there are always ways to improve, we're very proud of how it turned out.

If you'd like to discuss a commision, our calendar (closed until after the move) has now been opened back up.

Hey y'all. For those that have been liking the page recently, I appreciate it so much when our lack of content has been glaring.

The wife and I have been in the process of selling the house and as the shop is part of that house it means so much stuff has been in storage. Suffice to say that in order to sell a house you sort of have to pretend you don't live there. I hope to rectify the lack of posting soon, and hope you'll all be with us when we get rolling again.

This one sold before we could even officially get it on the page. But if you want one like it, we're happy to build more. Watch for it on our etsy page skullandsword.etsy.com, or send us a message about commisioning one to be sure you're first in line.
