In demand DJ, Pino has played Rhythm & Alps, Twisted Frequency, Luminate, Splore, Shipwrecked, Taniwha’s Den, Rhythm and Alps and supported artists like Made in Paris, Tom Cosom, Logan Baker, Out of Sorts, Sanoi, Heylady and Chaos in the CBD. She drives big tourism buses off road for a living and spends her free time snowboarding, kayaking, exploring nature and nightclubs, festivals and house part
ies. The first time she heard music that literally made time stand still was Firestarter by the Prodigy aged 11. Tracks is still one of her favorite tunes. Pino found world music through her Dad, progressive trance through living in Golden Bay, and disco/funk through her grandmother’s music collection. She developed a solid love for house music working nightclubs in Stockholm but finally discovered Techno during her many travels to Copenhagen, Bali and Berlin. She uses the big thundering baselines of techno, layering it with deep house, house, tech house, indi and old school rave anthems. She loves uplifting, lush, beautiful tunes as much as dark, creepy and weird ones. She is always on the look out for the next banger! Pino believes music connects and heals, “it’s like making jewelly for the inside of people's minds.”
Pino finds her inspiration from artists like Chemical brothers, Prodigy, Maceo Plex, Maetrik, Gary Beck, Grouch, Interversion, Nina Kraviz, Bart Skills, Radio slave and labels like Drumcode, Rekids, Octopus Records and Ellum.
