Happy Winter Solstice!

I spent part of today planting the last of the tulips, which seemed a fitting activity for the shortest day of the year. It was cold and the wind made it feel even colder, but dreaming of the riot of colors that will burst forth in a few month warmed me up.

Planting is always an act of faith and hope, which is good to remember when it is dark and cold. Those bulbs I planted will thrive in the cold, and soon they will push out of the earth and bloom.

A lesson for us in there somewhere, isn't there?

Amaryllis time! These gorgeous bulbs will bloom beautifully for you! These are jumbo bulbs, of much higher quality than those you see in the big box stores. The bigger the bukb, the bigger the show!

We'll have them beautifully potted up and ready for gifting at the Holiday Market this Saturday, December 14th from 10 am to 2 pm.

Spending a lovely day after Thanksgiving forgaging for greenery with dear friends . We'll use these for our Holiday Wreath Class tomorrow at 1 p.m. !

Join us to kick off the holiday season by crafting your own gorgeous wreath. We'll supply everything - a beautiful mix of cedar, pine, holly, yew, pinecones, and dried pods, wreath form, wire, and snips.
