Preregistration for Race The Runways 2019 ends today at 6pm! The 5K, 10K, and half marathon all count toward the standings, so pick your poison.

Race day registration closes at 7:45am, so don't take any chances.

The Race the Runways is on Saturday April 27, 2019. It includes the following events: One Mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1 Half Marathon, 14.1 Airport Challenge, and KIds Fun Race.

This year's prize for running "all 10 races" is a little easier to pull off. You still have to run 10 races, but there's 12 races in the series!

There's still time to sign up for the next race in our series!

Up to 182 participants, latest being Linda Colwell of Topsham ME. Fifty-five runners/walkers from Maine, 30 from Massachusetts, 19 from New York, 5 from California. In all, 31 states represented plus Quebec and Montenegro. The race is two thirds women, one third men. Youngest runner is 12, oldest 75. YOU CAN STILL SIGN UP. TWO MORE DAYS.

Standings are updated to reflect the Maine Lobster Festival 10K & 5K. We're now 5 races in and if you haven't run 2 races yet, the system is going to give you a DNF for that second race. That shakes up the standings quite a bit.

Barefoot wonders Steve Cartwright and Theresa Withee are your new leaders, with Darren Winchenbach and Jala Jamison Tooley right behind them.

If you've only run 1 race, your next chance to get on track is this Sunday at the Alvin Sproul Samoset 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run. See you there!

I'm a little late getting the Lobster Roll 5K results in, but here's the standings prior to this morning's Maine Lobster Festival 5K/10K. Remember, after today, the minimum qualifier is 2 races, so if you've only run 1 so far, expect to drop in the standings. By the end of the year, you'll need 4.
