Excited to be helping present this great band at Opus 40 this summer!

Sunday June 30th we are BEYOND excited to welcome Son Rompe Pera to Opus 40! These ex-punk rockers from the outskirts of Mexico City have infused new life into marimba-based cumbia, and have been praised for their high energy shows around the world.

We are able to offer tickets for this incredible band at just $15 ($45 carpool ticket) thanks to the support of Lake Placid Center for the Arts. Presented in collaboration with Chosen Family + TheLocalSaugerties, tickets are on sale now!

While I will be taking a break from presenting shows for most of the winter, certain artists come along that require attention, and so myself and HudsonValleyLive have collaborated to bring this incredible show to our area, in a super intimate setting, for just $25. I do think it will sell out

Known for his outsider visual art in the 90s, it was only about 10 years ago, at 62(!), that Lonnie released his first record. His unmistakable voice is the catalyst for a psychedelic blend of gospel, experimental, and free jazz impulses.

Still touching down from the Spiritualized show Wed night.

It was almost exactly 10 years ago, as BSP was just getting going, that I saw them at the Old Dutch Church in Kingston for , a truly mind blowing experience (prob in my top 5 shows and I think I’ve seen/produced over a 1,000 shows in the last decade). It also raised the ceiling for what was possible in this area in my mind. A year later I was pushing the limits of the small room at BSP and two years later we were starting to do shows in the large back room. I also started overseeing the music for O+ the year after that performance, and always considered it the benchmark.

So when earlier this year the opportunity arose to bring them back to the area, it felt full circle. Shows like this are a massive undertaking, by my count 30+ people were involved in the planning and ex*****on of this event (not counting anyone on the artist side, bartenders etc) so a huge thank you to and all the staff, security, tech crew etc who made it come off so smoothly. And thank you to everyone who came out. The love for the band and the space were palpable 🖤
