(6)

From humble beginnings as a partnership to create a client video in 2018, Motion Creative Media had developed into a full-time production company by 2022. Prior to co-founding Motion Creative Media in Greeneville, TN, owners Jared Collins and Garrett Ware dedicated over a decade to individual pursuits, working for successful local businesses while juggling their creative endeavors as side gigs. Re

cognizing the transformative potential in combining their skillsets, they brought their expertise and skillsets together to form a company anchored in shared passions of photography, videography, adventure, and service. Beyond their media endeavors, they both find joy in spending quality time with their families, immersing themselves in the region’s incredible outdoors, appreciating the power of music, and wholeheartedly supporting their local community.

Motion Creative rollin on past all of your April Fools jokes!

"Rollin with my homies"

I love this photo because it's the tiniest of glimpses of what it takes to make a paving operation function.

1. You see the dump truck that hauled the asphalt to the jobsite
2. You see the operator of the paver
3. You see the person who is managing the depth and width of the asphalt going down.
4. You see an employee holding a rake.

It takes so many people to make a paving operation successful.

Faces, Front Ends, and Flat Roads.

That's all I could come up with on this Friday Morning.
I really do love this collection of images, though.

The first image may seem busy at first, but you get a feel for the scene.
- It shows the front of a dump truck that hauled asphalt to the site.
- It shows the Summers-Taylor, Inc paver putting down the asphalt on the new surface.
- It shows the industrial park that the crew is working on a new road in.

The second image provides a wider view of the scene
- You see all of the industrial elements behind the roller.
- You see the operator paying close attention to his task, making sure he gets the edge just right
- Then you see the steam from the hot asphalt

The third image shows a few faces
- more importantly, it shows happy faces.
- I yelled at the 2 superintendents through the dump truck bed and said "SMILE" and this is what I got.

P.S. Have a Good Friday and a Happy Easter!

Jared and Garrett here, with an exciting opportunity for your small business!

If you've listened to the Faith and Frames podcast you may have noticed a couple of local entities sponsoring our episodes. If you're a small business looking to broaden your reach across new networks or advertise within a growing podcasting market, we are now opening sponsored slots for purchase within each episode! 25/03/2024

They're not just "dump truck drivers"

In many ways, they're the lifeline of the construction industry.

Trucking is a CRUCIAL point in the process for highway construction companies.

A few weeks ago, we shared a photo of an asphalt plant and stated that there was sand in the asphalt mixture.

Well, how do you think that sand got there?
- Dump Trucks

How do you think the gravel got there?
- Dump Trucks

How do you think the asphalt gets to the paving jobsite?
- Dump Trucks

I think you get the point. Dump Trucks are vital to the success of the construction industry.

Here's the main point, though:
- Those dump trucks don't drive themselves (at least not quite yet)

So, that means a human drives these massive trucks loaded down with material that will one day be a highway.
Material that will one day be the foundation for a brand new school in a growing community.

So the next time you're frustrated with the speed of a dump truck on the road, remember there's a person behind the wheel of that machine.
That truck is how they provide for their family.
They're important not only to the company that they work for, but the family that they go home to every night.

P.S. Have you ever ridden in these new dump trucks? They are super nice inside!

21/03/2024

What difference do you see in these 2 photos?

From a photography standpoint, the 1st image is far superior to the 2nd.

It has:
- atmosphere
- shafts of light
- foreground
- good composition
- jobsite elements

BUT, it's missing something.. something really important to the STORY.

These are both photos of the same roller, on the same jobsite, and on the same day.

But, you may not have known that because in the first shot, I (Jared) failed to get the face of the operator in the shot.

If you spend anytime on these job sites, you know there are humans there doing the work, but that's something that's often overlooked and forgotten to the people who simply drive by a jobsite and see equipment moving around.

We have got to do a better job at showing the human side of the construction and trades industry.
