June is the month of exams at the end of a successful school year. We will use this month to show you the examination works of the EFDE modular training. Students who pass the exam are rewarded with the official EFDE certificate, validated by the Belgian Chamber of Commerce and the Royal Belgian Florist Association!

After the structure was finished with willow inside the hall, the interior of the inner petals was decorated with Bromeliads, Orchids, and other epiphytes, which have been supplied with an automatic water support system. They represent the stamina with pollen of the flower and need to smell well and be beautiful to attract insects. As we learn in our EFDE education system flowers and plants best come from a similar biotope to make them survive for a long time, this choice of plants was obvious. Often in big EFDE projects, bigger elements are produced outside the exposition hall for practical reasons. Finally, they are assembled inside the hall to come to the final composition. In our classes, we teach which issues are met building up such enormous projects. As designers, we usually can follow the whole project on the spot so corrections can be made when necessary. But sometimes we also need to coordinate them by WeChat/WhatsApp as we can't be present like now! The EFDE system is set up to learn to develop big floral projects. After the design phase, calculations will define the materials and working hours we need. A strict time schedule is set up so we can finish before the deadline. The technical drawings are sent to a construction company, the structures will be welded. The workers are planned in. We need to be sure the workers and all materials will be there at the moment we need them.
