Since now there’s a whole lot of new people following here, I want to reintroduce myself!

My name is Hunter. I’m an outdoor creator & commercial photographer/videographer currently based in Humboldt County. I grew up in this area all my life until 23. It was here where I found my love for photography. I would go out exploring the redwoods and coastal beaches around me, but then I was feeling stuck so I decided to make the 32+ hour drive over to Nashville to try to get into the concert photography scene. This was peak covid so that ended up not happening. During that time I would go out to various places in and out of Nashville exploring what the area has to offer. After a couple years of living out there and realizing it wasn’t where I wanted to fully settle down at, I decided to make the move to Las Vegas ! VEGAS BABY!

Here is where I would be go explore the desert and see what the Southwest has to offer. Now one misconception about Vegas is that it’s all gambling and alcohol, while yes that’s true, there’s sooo much more to the amazing city. The people, the hospitality, the neighborhoods all made it feel like it was a small town. As long as you were off strip and Fremont it truly feels like a community there believe it or not. During that time I continued freelancing and visiting places such as Valley of Fire (a lot) and Death Valley it made me fall in love with the desert.

Fast forward 2 years, I moved back to my hometown, but I knew it wasn’t where I wanted to truly be. So I decided to build a bed in the back of my car and travel the desert some more. I spent the next 2 months at the end of 2024 traveling back through the desert and roaming all over Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California exploring new places, meeting new friends, and figuring out who I am and what I want in life.

Now that I’m back in my hometown again with my best friend, Maverick. I’m craving that sense of adventure, and that will be changing very soon. Being stagnant is not for me. Ask anyone that knows me! They’ll tell you the same thing.

Anyways I’m going a bit off topic here. Thats more of who I and where I come from! Welcome to everyone who’s new and I hope you stay.

Sunset into blue hour

I think one of the best moments in nature is that moment when the sun finally sets and ignites the sky with a beautiful sunset to a moody, eerie sense of blue hour. Both create amazing moments and it all happens within two hours of each other. To me it reminds me of the way humans are. One moment we can be bright and colorful like the sunset but when it goes down we can get to a blue place where we get into our own thoughts. We all try to be the sunset but there are moments when that’s not the case and that’s okay. Just remember we all go through it and you’re not alone. So aim to be that sunset every chance you get. 🌅

Summer days are here and I am beyond excited. That means river days, late sunsets, good times, and more adventuring (once my car is fixed), and I cannot wait!
