BRAND NEW - GY FUTSAL LEAGUE

Last few months we have been battling to bring the Futsal Game, Futsal League to our County, Norfolk. After a few meetings with Norfolk FA we could say we never have been so close to make it happen.

For that to happen we GY FUTSAL LEAGUE needs everyone's help, underneath is the picture of the next step for it's creation within our area.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

We want to show to our county there are many teams out there very interested in playing this amazing game called FUTSAL.

FUTSAL VS FOOTBALL

We are a very hard-working group who loves Futsal. Due to lack of opportunities within our area we decided (work with with different communities groups and mainly with Norfolk FA) to give to everyone a chance to get to know the sport and in a near future a chance to be part of. Best way to do so is starting to show a little bit more about this sport.

Futsal (also known as fútsal or footsal) is a variant of association football played on a hard court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It can be considered a version of five-a-side football.

Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor football, the game is played on a hard court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. Futsal is also played with a smaller, harder, low-bounce ball. The surface, ball, and rules together favor ball control and passing in small spaces. The game's "emphasis is on improvisation, creativity and technique."

Today we meet with Futsal Athlete, Blaise Gapp, to discuss his transition from football into futsal, and the differences/similarities between the two sports....
