Create your own beautiful holiday centerpiece! This workshop is for everyone ready to celebrate the holidays with a little floral fun! In this class, you will learn the basics of floral design, how to process/care for your flowers, and how to structure a beautiful arrangement. We will use seasonal elements to create a show-stopping design of your very own. Using these building blocks, you will walk away with an arsenal of tips and tricks that will help you create arrangements at home with elements you can easily access from the grocery store or your own landscaping. A recently listened to a podcast with Doug Conant and Brené Brown and he was speaking about “an entourage of excellence” and it got me thinking about ways that we can build that for ourselves.

How important is that! Here are the tips; surround yourself with people who:
1. Ignite your light.
2. Challenge you to critically think.
3. Make you laugh.

Houston, we are coming home! After 2 years in East Texas my husband and I have decided we are city folk after all!
It’s easy to be someone from the city and have a ton of bias and preconceived notion’s of what living in a small town will bring. While I can say, I have never seen so many people in one grocery store in overalls or so many cows outside a school yard; I can also say, that the people I will carry with me from the last 2 years, are some of the kindest and most earnest people out there.
I challenge you to get out of your comfort zone. Amazing things will come your way. I am better because of the life I have been able to live while living behind the “pine curtain.”
Cheers continuing to , and life through in our new(old) city!

My husband is super sweet and he brought home a premade grocery store bouquet! Ladies, if your man does this, praise him! This is such a treat and even if it isn’t your favorite colors or has your least favorite flowers - it truly is the thought! Then, remake the bouquet so it feels more like you! Sometimes I struggle with the “lack of beauty” Houston has. . Today God reminded me how wrong I am. He shows me the beauty of this city daily. I see it in the faces of my loved ones, my students, and incomplete strangers. I see it in this cities ability to come together whether in the face of disaster or in celebration of a winning team (go stros). Mostly, I see it in the comfort of home. . Thank you, Houston.
