I’ve been in hibernation mode over here, but the sun is out today so the snow is thawing, my cool flowers survived and I’m feeling quite optimistic for the seasons ahead! ✨

I don’t know if I’ve shared this here but, I’m also an herbalist. That means when you hire me and we head out to the woods you’ll see me foraging here and there along the way. This time I found one of my favorite medicinals, Usnea or Old Man’s Beard. I’m grateful for clients that let me be who I am and play, too 🤍✨

Since moving to Asheville, I’ve decided that this summer-into-fall transition is my very favorite. A micro season, if you will.
Starting the day with a crispy morning and a warm cup of coffee really just sets the tone for me, ya know?
Plus, the first frost is still just far enough away to pretend that we have all the time in the world left to garden this season.

Turned 38 over the weekend and starting tomorrow - for the first time ever - both of my kids will be in school full time. I haven’t had this many hours to myself since becoming a mother and honestly, my mind is spinning a bit at all of the possibilities!
While it’s bittersweet in many ways, it feels like an exciting new chapter is just beginning for Little Wild Bloom. I’m thrilled to have the capacity to work with more lovely couples and take on fun new projects - plus I get to dive deeper into growing my tiny garden to its fullest potential!
Can’t wait to share the next leg of this flowery journey with y’all, thanks for sticking around! 💕

I’ve had a flurry of fall elopement inquiries over the last few days and I cannot lie, it’s got me dreaming of chilly weather and these gorgeously fluffy heirloom chrysanthemums!

Spent the last week in Ohio loving on all of my family and friends - came back to gardens that are exploding with blooms!
First thing on my to do list is a little clean up sesh - but keep your eyes peeled - because my next priority is gathering up some pretty flowers to share with you!!!!

My gardens are still sleepy, as I learn more about timing in this zone. So my current favorite hobby is scrolling through old flower photos, reminding myself of the abundance that is to come. I stumbled upon this favorite from a sweet day with back in Florida. These juicy citrus tones are going to see me through this very rainy day!

Happy first day of March! This bouquet was loaded with some of my very favorite spring treasures - sweet peas, campanula, lace flower, phlox and ranunculus. It’s got me hankering for all of the romantic ruffles and lovely scented goodness - thankfully, they’re not far off now!! ✨

I used to be solidly in the “fall is my favorite season” camp but there really is something equally special about all of the new life that comes spring. Answering emails this morning feels much more magical with the windows open and all of that songbird chatter floating in on the breeze! ✨

Felt a little strange to not be fully in the Valentine’s Day hustle this year - but also, I didn’t hate it? Our weather here in NC was an absolute dream, so I got to dig in the garden and hang out in the sunshine with my Valentine’s - which are some of the things I love the most!

As I breathe new into this space, I’m so happy to announce that LWB will be back at it and booking a select number weddings for 2023 - with an emphasis on elopements and intimate events.
While I loooove all weddings big and small and the thrill that comes with a busy season full of large events, I have learned that I need to hone in on what truly fills my cup as a designer and an artist.
My heart is happiest when I can take the time to craft each piece with a deep level of love and attention. I also genuinely enjoy connecting with my couples and getting to know them on a more personal level, which in turn allows me to tell their story in a more unique way. Both of these things are more easily done with fewer, smaller events.
So, if you or someone you know is planning to marry this year and you share a love of unique flowers and desire a more one on one vendor approach - please reach out!

Looking back at this photo makes me chuckle. I vividly remember standing on this porch, with this beautiful bouquet, for a friend that I adore and thinking THIS IS IT, this is the dream. The location, the couple, the beautifully detailed intimate wedding. It was everything.
At the time, it was a destination wedding, with all of the vendors following Florida Wedding Video + Photo duo] to the mountains to celebrate their love.
The whole weekend was honestly magical. I spent most of my time wishing I never had to leave. And now, here I am. The only thing that would make it better would be bringing Florida Wedding Video + Photo duo] here with me 😜

Friends, it has been quite the journey to get here, but I (finally) have some exciting news to share!
After five amazing years of flowering solo with Little Wild Bloom, I am joining the incredible team at Carolina Flowers as Lead Designer! I’ve admired Emily’s beautiful blooms and business from afar for quite some time and feel so lucky that she has given me the opportunity to be part of it all!
Supporting local, sustainable, and seasonal flowers has been at the center of my love for floral design since my journey began - so to be working with these beautiful blooms grown minutes from the studio is a huge dream realized.
I can’t wait to continue learning, growing, teaching and creating alongside the wonderful crew! I hope you’ll follow along the journey - and please come say hello if you ever find yourself in Asheville!
Oh, and don’t worry - isn’t going away - mostly because I can’t let the beautiful branding from to go to waste! So expect to keep seeing beautiful blooms, fun designs and mountainy, garden goodness! ❤️

Spending the day cleaning up the studio and starting seeds in the garden. So excited to have rounded the corner on last frost - bring on all of warm, sunshiney days!
Friends, I have spring fever in the worst way! I am so eager to be watching the hummingbirds and bees in the garden and can’t wait to be bringing in fresh flowers by the bucketful. While I am still learning the ins and outs of growing a cutting garden here in the mountains, I am excited to keep expanding my knowledge and to be more purposeful in what I’m planting. There is nothing more exciting than walking through the beds and hand picking the most special blooms for a couple’s big day!
