It’s all about the groove ... playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realizing it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date. “ Purveyor of melodo-harmonic grooves and a feel-good rhythmic atmosphere.
Never afraid to go too deep, her emotive musical selections are her own therapy. Having grown up on her father’s eclectic combination of Afro-Cuban mambo and conga, funk & jazz , all which became infused with her own love for both disco and afro music , Tanya ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where she picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that she loves best: beautiful strong rhythmic grooves interlocking occasional vocal hooks and richly colored extended chords. A very active member of her local community, Tanya a.k.a. Miss Take is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of a small-town music scene. Though she loves playing in cocktail bars and special events , her love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a pianist and a former radioproducer, she has found plenty of ways to express herself musically.
