Music for SDGs was selected to perform at ABAC III Gala Dinner 2024 in Tokyo on 3 August.
This is going to be the largest achievement of Music for SDGs since the launch of the project in 2018.

緊急告知❣️short noticeですが、6月29日(土)は(福岡ではなく東京の)赤坂にてMusic for SDGs協力のコンサートがありますのでお知らせします。

この夏に東京で行われる某国際会議のガラディナーのエンタメを任されることになりました。
そちらにご出演予定のアーティスト5名によるSDGs Summer Music Festivalを赤坂にて開催いたします。

国際会議の本番では私は代表者としてのスピーチのみですが、今週土曜日のコンサートではMackもゲスト出演する予定です。一般告知前ですが、こちらに参加いただいた方にはひと足先に国際会議についてもシェアさせていただきます。

Music for SDGs joined the Japan Parade 2024 that took place in Manhattan on May 11 Saturday. Akira Watanabe, Mizuki Ari, Yurika Ono, Hizuru Maruyama, Mari Takayama, Tamaki Horibe, and Makoto Okubo (Mack) marched on behalf of Music for SDGs as the 77th group, while singing and dancing on the Central Park West Avenue. I would like to thank Seinosuke Dobashi (Niko) for joining the team and serving as sound crew during the parade.

At the Gala hosted by SMGlobal Catwalk (founded by Samina Mughal), Makoto (MACK) Okubo, Executive Director of Music for SDGs, a project to promote SDGs through music and entertainment, delivered speech on sustainable fashion and power of disability, wearing scarf designed by a digital artist Mayu Ikeda after an introduction by Aysen Djemal, MC for the night.

Mack introduced a Down Syndrome supermodel Nao, who made her dream come true to walk at Paris Fashion Week. The selected music for this historic moment was "Awazing Grace" by Hirari Sato, a renowned blind singer who sang National Anthem during the opening celemony of the Tokyo Paralympic Games. Nao and Hirari know each other, and both previously participated in the Power of Disability event, hosted by Music for SDGs in collaboration with Yuto Takamori.

On 21 September 2021, Music for SDGs co-hosted UN76 & International Peace Day Celebration New York Concert for SDGs 2021 with Tiara Group and GloCha/IAAI in conjunction with the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and International Peace Day, for the purpose of enhancing awareness on world peace and SDGs.

The event took place at Michiko Studios (149 W 46th St. New York). As part of UN76 Celebration Music Festival for SDGs 2021, we are broadcasting the concert online around the globe.

The artists included YUZURINO HANA [Yuzu Natsumi (singer song writer/shamisen player), Rino Aise (Tiara’s CEO/singer/sanshin player)], Youth Yamada (guitarist/bassist), Jazz4SDGs [Mack Okubo (executive producer/singer/ dancer), Aya Ishida (singer/composer), Nobuki Takamen (guitarist/composer), Ai Yamash*ta (pianist/ keyboardist/ composer), Rintaro Mikami (drummer/

沖縄慰霊の日記念コンサート『沖縄への祈り』

今生きる力を守り、未来を結ぶために、過去とつながる」をコンセプトに平和、人権、環境、各国の文化的理解を伝えているティアラグループ と「平和への思いを一つにする」NPO団体 NY平和ファウンデーションの共催で沖縄慰霊の日に沖縄へ祈りを込めてオンライン イベントを開催しました。

Music for SDGsは当コンサートを後援し、プロジェクト・ディレクターのマックがMC（主に英語を担当）を務めるとともに、カリンバの彩、Aihi＆あいひバンド、なつみゆずがパフォーマーとして、沖縄出身の活動家の島袋孝奈、神谷美由希がメッセージを送りました。

Music for SDGs chose this music piece for our Grand Finale of IASPP 24 Hour Telethon, as well as for our Grand Opening of Music for SDGs Pacific Music Festival. It was performed by students and alumni of the Berklee College, with various instruments around the globe in various languages, including English, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindu, Hebrew, and Arabic. A proof that music can bring everyone together despite culture, language and politics.
