Happy New Year a few days late! I’ve enjoyed a couple weeks away from emails, shooting and editing! I rarely take a break from everything and it felt so good to step away for a bit. Being your own boss has many perks, but it also comes with lots of feelings of stress and overwhelm and usually you just push it all aside because there is work to be done but guess whattt, there will ALWAYS be. So by the time Christmas rolled around I had had enough and pretty much felt myself completely shut down. I’m not looking for pity, but I will say that I have managed to be the best and worst employee all at the same time 😉 I did have one little birthday session last week 🤠 (and that was fun!) but otherwise I didn’t think about work too much.
Today I’m trying to ease back in to things like everyone else! I’ve answered emails and cleaned out my inbox and now I’m on to painting at the studio! I’m hoping to wrap up editing my 2024 sessions while I’m waiting for paint to dry!
