When I first started our business, I dreamt of designing at Terrain. Their unique, whimsical & curated garden style is just right up my alley. Other florist & other amazing wedding industry folks had their work shine at this venue & it was just a goal I set for myself.

I’m happy to say we’ve had the chance to work there lots of times now, but this past weekend was our first time designing at their newest location, , & it did not disappoint. ✨

I just got to peek through some photos from Samantha & Jordan’s day and it was just too pretty. So thankful for the chance to work with this amazing couple & with lots of other really talented friendors this past weekend!

We wrapped up November with this ✨

While flowers aren’t blooming in our field anymore, it’s still important for me to include some of our own ingredients. Along with gorgeous garden roses, ranunculus, heirloom mums, scabiosa & carnations, I included our spirea, grasses, scabiosa & nigella pods and some other dried ingredients.

It was truly a gorgeous day! Congratulations Samantha & Jordan! We hope you had the best day ever! 🤍

Saying adios to this season & looking ahead to next year. We’re adding, deleting, building, doing more in some areas & less in others. Change is a good. Looking forward to some slow months to recharge & spend lots of time with my family, but really excited for 2025 ✨

And this is what 1,200 tulip bulbs look like! 🌷

While this season is wrapping up, we’re already working on getting some things planted for next season! We’re trying something new & planting all of our tulips in our raised beds by our house where we grow our veggies in the spring & summer. I think they are going to thrive with the deep, loose soil—can’t wait to see them bloom! Who’s ready?!

We squeezed in the last delivery for our Front Door Flowers today ✨

This season has gone by in the blink of an eye, but looking back it’s been a season of growth, hard work, a new baby with sleepless nights, failure & lots of beauty.

We share our flowers with our Front Door Flower friends for 24 weeks, from April until now! It’s thousands of seeds, bulbs & tubers planned, planted, harvested designed & delivered to other flower lovers in our community. One of my favorite parts about this job is sharing the beauty of our flowers & hearing that they are enjoyed & bring joy to people and their homes.

Along with beauty, of course, comes some hardship. We’ve had several crops underperform, an enormous amount of crop damage from deer—despite spending lots of time & money on a fence and lots of other deterrents this season! It’s a frustrating part of our job, but it teaches us to grow and pivot for the next season.

Thank you to everyone who has bought a bouquet from our flower stand, signed themselves or a loved one up for our Front Door Flowers subscription, stopped by & grabbed flowers at .leaf.market & trusted us to design their wedding florals with our flowers. It is such a pleasure & truly a dream come true. We’re looking forward to some slower weeks, but are already looking forward to our 2025 season! 🫶🏻✨

I thought this would be my final harvest, but dahlias survived the cold temps last night & we’re thankful to get some more time to enjoy them! ✨

This is me in my panic harvesting stage 🤣

There’s a good chance we’re going to get our first frost tonight, so I’m out harvesting as much as I can, as fast as I can!

🤞🏻 the flowers don’t get hit & we get a few more weeks with them!

I was gifted a few garden mums from a good friend a few years ago & every year they come back bigger and better than ever. It always makes my heart happy to harvest these pretty, late season flowers. 🫶🏻

There’s a chance Frostmas might come this week, so the family & I spent the afternoon cutting lots of flowers and working on fall clean up.

If we do get a killing frost this week, it will be two weeks earlier than the past few years. We’re crossing our fingers it doesn’t hit just yet & we get a few more weeks with the flowers!

We dropped off some really pretty bouquets to our Front Door Flower friends yesterday ✨

Overflowing with lots of dahlias & other October goodies, we are savoring each and every stem while they’re still here!

Tonight we will be enjoying yoga in the dahlias from 5:30-7! We’ll keep it posted on our website, just in case you decide you can make it last minute!

The Cafe au Lait will always be one of my favorite flowers to grow. The soft blush & creamy yellow palettes perfectly painted on each and every petal—they are unreal in their beauty.
