Thinking about a wedding, shower or special party, do not shy away from a theme, more than a color palette. We love a fun theme, that can go in so many directions. This Alice In Wonderland theme was surprisingly easy to design, using props already in our inventory (Reuse and Reimagine), and we shopped in a thrift store for some special finds. The was very inexpensive, and we’ve used it multiple times. Using flowers that guests were invited to take home , and some were composted at the end of the event added to this . .m.weddings

Let’s talk about the wind! When an outdoor wedding is expecting wind, you can take steps to lessen the distraction. If the bride has a veil, have her face the wind to have her hair and veil flow away from her face. Add veil magnets to the veil, giving the veil some weight and have a very attentive MOH assist the bride. Work with your sound techs to lessen the wind sounds that can be distracting as well. Watch the weather to be more able to deal with outdoor weather issues. Congratulations to Krystal and Jim! Beautiful day for a beautiful couple! .m.weddings

Using products and a team of vendors for your celebration that are Respectful of the Environment and Mother Earth is the key to cutting back on the amount of waste and pollution the over 2million weddings in America each year produce. This is one of my favorite ideas for a . Using her mother’s bridal gown, she had a rehearsal dinner cocktail dress made and added a sweet pocket square from the gown for the groom. It was beautiful, and was a wonderful way to honor her mother on her wedding day! .m.weddings

A year ago, this amazing actor was in a serious snowplow accident. The First Responders from Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, REMSA, and other agencies were AMAZING! Jeremy Renner, one year later delivered Pizzas and gratitude to fire stations and personally thanked the crews. This time of year we need to count our blessings and know the power of prayer. Oh, and yes, that’s my handsome husband, Fire Chief Charlie Moore with Mr. Renner. .m.weddings

Oh, the wedding cake. Each layer a different flavor? Making the cake as elegant as the rest of the menu and decor. Don’t forget to have a plan for left over cake. I like to have slices of cake in takeout boxes to hand out at the end of the night as for your guests to enjoy in the morning with their coffee. Let’s not waste the cake. .m.weddings
