I am at my most content when out in the garden.
The ever so slight shifting of the seasons is always clear to me. A couple of days ago I felt March making her approach. An unpredictable month with varied weather, she is the first timid step into spring.
The window for trimming roses and hydrangeas is closing and I must work quickly.
Birds and other wildlife are seeking their mates and will soon be creating homes to raise their young. Daffodils are considering making their appearance, while the Hellebore are in full splendor. Soon the flowering branches will be in bloom.
Spring…. the softest and most tender of seasons is nearly here.

The wild violets that are in our woods are in bloom. A sweet and delicate little flower with glossy spring green foliage. Each year this patch spreads. We are careful to not tread upon it, clearing debris when it isn’t in bloom.
This is one of the precious gifts we receive here on our property. Allowing Mother Nature to lead the way, we follow her. Clearing where needed, allowing the rest to be.
