The more the intuitive right side of the brain is used the more expanded, creative and functional someone can become. If the left side of the brain is more frequently used and the right side is ignored (especially amongst youth), the quicker the negative part of the ego begins to come forward along with fear, doubt, worry and anxiety.

Be creative.
Be confident.
Be proud.

Being a survivor and creating is important in the social justice realm because of the powerful effect of art therapy it has on survivors or anyone in general; art heals trauma. Expressing emotions into a creative process helps release not only darkness but also unhealthy habits, and convert trauma into a beautiful surface."

New life...new art !

Bittersweet to have finished my collection "The Journey." I painted the collection from the moment I had cancer and did not know, to the time I was in the ICU, and continued painting as I was healing...then completed them when i healed. I painted my entire journey as I went through it. It has helped me heal. Physically, mentally, and spiritually. Time to unfold a new chapter in my life and there will be light, energy, and a spiritual awakening in my art. This is just a background. But I officially am staring a new collection which i might call "The Road Above" or something cooler I don't know yet lol.
