A drool-worthy Big Island wedding 🤤🌴

Having a couple completely trust you to be artistic + capture their wedding the way you do is priceless 🤩

Cassie + Daniel were so kind + fun + planned such a fun day for their out of town guests. A storm happened to roll in the day before their wedding but we lucked out with mostly sunny skies through the ceremony + portraits before the rain came down.

I was so happy to be a part of their big day + have the opportunity to shoot at a new epic location.

I’m so excited to shoot the land minis at the Hui No’eau upcountry. The grounds are SO beautiful + have lots of little nooks to shoot in. There are massive trees + well maintained ruins that are reminiscent of a secret garden.

The afternoon light at this historial location is what makes me love it for portraits so much.

I will be shooting at the Hui on November 16th starting at 3:50pm.

Watching the community rally together to help those in need has been amazing. I am so happy to live in a place where everyone treats each other like family.

I have a hard time expressing what we have been feeling these past 10 days. A piece of Maui is gone and that is deeply felt. My heart is broken for all of the people that have lost it all. What is very clear is that not everything is gone. The community is strong. The love the people on this island have for each other has grown. It is felt. Everywhere you go.
It was such a privilege to see how people rose up to take care of their own. The most impressive of it all is that the people who rose up as leaders and got things done were small business owners of Maui. Many of them paying for everything out of pocket, spending whatever they had, ( and what they didn’t have running it on their own company cards ) just to bring relief to those in need.
We cannot close down all of Maui. We cannot bring further economical stress to the community, especially to those who lost it all and still have to pay mortgages on the homes they lost.
Let’s keep the ball rolling and strengthen our local businesses so we can continue to take care of each other. Because if we don’t take care of each other. No one else is there to help.
