Spring has finally sprung and I can’t imagine a more dreamy scene than this…
It is the first week of May and the apple trees are blossoming sweetly. The landscape is dotted with bright yellow pops of dandelions and vibrant purple violets. The air is full of birdsong and softly singing wind chimes. We are honored to be guests at Sweetland Orchard, Gretchen Perbix’s beautiful slice of heaven on earth, where she lovingly grows and ferments a variety of apples to make into delicious hard cider.
The community we’ve been longing for gathers once again. Mothers and daughters, sons and husbands, friends and family all share brunch around picnic tables and blankets spread under the blooming apple trees. Tender spring vegetables, farm fresh eggs, artisan cheeses, savory charcuterie and baked goods with sweet honey are the stars of the menu. Each locally curated dish is paired with a Sweetland Cider, showcasing the distinctive flavor profiles unique to the orchard you dine in.
