A very special and moving tribute to one of the finest poets RIP Shane well done to all who participated and contributed to Shane's life
With many laughs tears but most importantly the memories we all will have with his laugh and great humour
A musical send off you could say and that is what he'd wanted and definitely deserves

Today we have sadly learned the news of Shane Mac Gowan's passing as many people around the world loved his music and talented song writing he was such a big hearted character and I'm very greatful to have been part of his presence when I met him on different occasions and gigs was very exciting time

Sending my condolences to all family members and friends who will certainly miss him

Many classic songs were penned and each one as brilliant as the next 📝🎶🎶

To many people who knew him Shane also had a band called the Pope's in the 90s and early 00's and still delivered fantastic songs from that music era also with hes beloved Pogues band

But we all remember his wonderful song Fairytale of New York classic song which will always stand out along side Kirsty Mc Coll

As the lyric said "I could have been someone and so could anyone " you certainly were mate a talented song writter

Sending my condolences to his wife Victoria Mary Clarke too

Sunday 30th July 2023 is the vitally Iimportant fundraiser for the RNLI. This fundraising event will be taking place in BurtonPort on the pier from 10am onwards. This is a open event for all family and friends which is most welcome to join in also a very important day with water safety and we all need your local support on the day as many people may need this service of the Aranmore Lifeboat who provides a great service and helpful skills of helpful safety advice whilst you are in the water...
