For those of you who have followed my activities at Francourt Events you will be aware of our World Rugby Memorial Project.

Next month we launch our Rugby & WW2 Commemorations hosting an event in Normandy marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day. In May 2025 we will be hosting two other events in Nijmegen and Lincoln.

I have two requests -

Firstly, we are updating one of videos and asking people around the world to nominate their rugby hero of WW2. You will need to name your hero and add a short audio and supply 1-3 photos of this person for us to edit. If you want to be part of this project please mail [email protected] for further details.

Secondly, we are creating a new exhibition and book. The exhibition will be hosted at the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln between March and June 2025. We are looking for stories to highlight and publish about rugby players during WW2 from around the world. Again for further details contact [email protected]

Entries for the video, exhibition, and book must be received by September 30th 2024.
