Last night, the Sizzle Squad and friends celebrated the start of Sizzle Dining at the stunning Edgewater Beach Hotel in Naples.

From fire dancers by the pool to incredible cuisine and great company, it was the perfect way to start this exciting culinary event. 🍽️🌅

Huge thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and to our amazing hosts for making it unforgettable.

Sizzle Dining is an annual restaurant week event that showcases the best of Southwest Florida’s culinary scene. From September 5-25, participating restaurants offer special fixed priced menus at discounted prices, allowing locals and visitors to enjoy a variety of dishes from top chefs. This event not only celebrates the region’s diverse food culture but also gives back to the community. A portion of the proceeds from Sizzle Dining goes to support local charities, with a focus on benefiting organizations like Blessings in a Backpack SWFL, which helps provide meals for food-insecure children in the area. The “Southern” Lights 😂🤣

A few nights ago, I went out to take Milky Way photos and after taking some test shots I was confused why all my shots were coming out reddish. I didn’t realize that one of the strongest solar storms in decades was happening. After getting home and editing the photos, I was shocked and happy of what I captured! The solar storm was so strong that parts of SW Florida were able to see the aurora borealis, aka the Northern Lights. Now, I have to add seeing this phenomenon up north to get the full experience.

Milky Way season is starting up in Florida, if anyone would like to stargaze or learn astrophotography, please send me a DM.

Someone is graduating… from VPK!!!

It’s such a bittersweet moment for me. I’m sad to see my baby girl growing up so fast, but at the same time, I’m filled with happiness for her milestone. Excited to see her flourish and grow in big girl school!

Hold onto the dots and swipe!

The different phases of the 2024 viewed from the middle of nowhere in Texas. From partial eclipse to totality back to full sun.

Truthfully, I’m not too happy with my photos. I missed focus while battling cloud coverage and scrambling with setting changes. Sure, my camera might have missed a few shots, but the incredible memories are forever stored in my mind. Can’t wait to chase the next eclipse in 21 years—hopefully, with a sharper lens and cooler stories to tell!
