My new favorite thing: it’s a spin on Thomas Keller’s famous zucchini….I named it Cowboy Zucchini, because after scoring and searing/roasting, I add my OTHER newest fave thing: Cowboy Butter. Best of all, it’s vegan!
This can be served as a fun and different side dish, or as I like to do, slice and serve as individual bites for an hors d’oeuvre. Serve with or without crumbled feta!😍

Sometimes, if we’re lucky, certain people are brought into our lives that we just know deep in our souls, we’ll be a close part of each others’ lives forever. That is my Evelyn. My friend, my ‘assistant’, my support team, my saving grace. She single~handedly got me through MANY challenging events. I could not have done them without her. I’m so fortunate to have had her help, guidance, trustworthiness, reliability, intellect, hard work, but most of all, her friendship, for as long as I did. The friendship part will stay forever❤️ I have the utmost respect for this woman.
We’ve spent more than a couple Christmas Eves together until the wee hours, cooking and laughing. We’ve spent countless hours, days, weeks, months and years creating menus, testing new dishes, PREPPING, cooking those menus, catering to clients, partying with clients 😂, dealing with clients 🤯, and of course cleaning. I’ve NEVER met a more hard~working human being as her. She is an EXCELLENT cook, she is modest, she is smart, she does not like attention (sorry Ev 😅) And whoever knows her, knows these words are true. For a woman running a business all by herself, my gratitude to Evelyn, for her dedication, respect and patience with and for me is tenfold.

Big shoutout to my colleagues~turned~close friends, who also happen to be pastry superstars 🌟
You two rock my world, and it is SO FUN seeing my clients’ faces when I bring out your GORGEOUS creations. I’m so happy we met 🥰
Shelléy creates incredible cheesecakes….MANY different flavors and styles, and they are not only delicious, but BEAUTIFUL. Alcohol infused or not~your preference.
Lori creates GORGEOUS succulent and flower cupcakes~they are AMAZING. She does cakes too.
I am so grateful these two gifted women are a part of my life, personally and professionally. I truly believe we are drawn to certain people for a reason. As a lot of you know, I’m all about Girl Power and female entrepreneurship, and over the years, the universe has helped me create a fabulous team of women, with whom I would not be able to do what I do. They are so good to me!!! Feeling very happy and grateful for them all today!

👏👏👏 Wellllll I’m super happy to say that my website is finally READY! It’s taken a while, primarily because I’ve been so busy, and there are some little things to fix still, but I’m very happy with it! *Under the Charcuterie tab, there are three videos…the ones with the small white arrow. Let me know what you think of the website!!!

My 50th year SO FAR has been quite the whirlwind: non~stop events for some of the most amazing clients I could ever hope to meet and create culinary experiences for🥰……….I took myself on a 6 week trip, cooking across Italy 🇮🇹………and now my personal~sized charcuteries are going to be aboard Set Jet’s private flights🛩️!!! What is next you ask?? Well I’ve got a couple of (big) ideas brewing…stay tuned 🤔🤗

My first market (in Cinque Terre), about a month ago. Yes I’m squealing in the video 😂 Lots of cooking has happened since then, particularly in Tuscany, Bologna, and now back in Cinque Terre. Ironically, this same market I went to a month ago, I went to again today, because I love 5terre so much that I came back ❤️ I have another lesson in the morning, but tonight I stay in and make dinner for myself! A much needed therapeutic break. Yesterday was a LONG day of travel and late ferries/trains. THEY were late, not me 🤣 About 12 hours travel total. What I have to cook with tonight: vine~ripe tomatoes, fresh garlic, cubed pancetta, black linguine, zucchini, olives, lemon, fresh cream, focaccia and of course olive oil and salt… and fresh parmareggio ❤️ And a nice local white wine (they are fabulous!) Let’s see what I come up with!

…the morning after an event, if I’m lucky enough to not have to start cooking again right away, I get to put aquaphor on my feet, then my gel socks! Best feeling ever.
I had the opportunity to cater an event for some absolutely lovely humans yesterday. Homemade Italian Sausage Lasagna was the star🌟 Unfortunately it was a celebration of life, and the sweet, sweet man, who lost his wife, chatted with me in the kitchen. He then brought me some lemons from his tree for the shrimp scampi I was making. I just loved talking to Mel…I will actually never forget it. I feel really honored to be able to come into peoples’ homes and get to know them, while doing what I love: cooking! No matter how much my body hurts the next day lol. It’s nothing a little acupuncture 💉 and cryotherapy ❄️ can’t fix!

I have great news….I discovered the BEST cheese shop ever! It has the most clever name : Shea Cheese, because it’s located at 32nd street and Shea! I was frantically trying to find a certain cheese called raclette, and AJ’s told me about Shea Cheese. I went, I saw, I tasted, I purchased! (A lot more than just the raclette cheese lol) When you have the time, check it out! I have a raclette machine, which melts the cheese over pretty much anything you want. Because who doesn’t love melted cheese? I buy their cheeses for my charcuterie boards. The pictures below show a shaved ham/thinly sliced apple/sautéed onion sandwich, with the cheese melted over….as well as the raclette cheese melted over some sous vide Tri~tip sliders I made for my 50th birthday! It would be fantastic over pasta, oven~roasted vegetables…literally anything 😍
Shea Cheese has not only the coveted raclette cheese, but MANY different types! Go check it out!

🍾 SAUCES are my FAVORITE thing to make….Champagne Beurre Blanc being one of them 🥰…this delicious sauce will accompany baked salmon for a BEAUTIFUL wedding in a rare, snow~dusted Sedona this weekend, for 53 guests! I wish you could smell the aromatics! Let’s wish the happy couple Congratulations! 👏

Never in my life would I have thought this is what would have turned out for me….a crazy busy catering company, doing events for the FBI!!! 😎
On the anniversary of my Grandma Margaret’s passing…she is who I named my daughter after….of course there was a beautiful rainbow. She and I would always find them together when I was little. Today is a bittersweet yet perfect day 🌈
