Katie & Alex’s engagement session in Lawrence felt like a full-circle moment. 💛 We started at Potter’s Lake and then wandered around the KU campus—the very place where they met, went on their first date, and where Alex later proposed. And of course, their sweet pup Fred joined the fun and totally stole the show.

These two were such a joy to photograph—laid-back, full of laughs, and clearly so in love. I can already tell their wedding day next year is going to be something special, and I’m so honored to be a part of it!

I am behind on sharing so many recent images that I am so freaking proud of. So here you go. Eric and Hannah's AWESOME wedding at the a bit over a week ago.

I had an instant connection with Hannah and Eric when I photographed them in Chicago. They are fellow RPG and board game nerds, and followers of Smosh. The clothing theme for their wedding was summer dresses, and it delivered. I LOVED the checkerboard colors used, the sunglasses, and ALLL the little colorful accessories: such as their beautiful fans, hair bow veil, and gifted earrings to each other.

Lawrence is Hannah's hometown, so they asked about 70 of their closest friends and family to make the trek out to celebrate with them. Their pup Freya was a HUGE part of it too. Even literally walking their rings down the aisle for them.

Don't be strangers you two. I absolutely adored being a part of your day in this way.

When Carrie told me she and Sean met while working at the same library, I knew I had to be a part of their day. (subtle plug to my book insta )

Their wedding was the definition of intentional: a sweet and casual mini-mony held outdoors with just their closest loved ones, followed by a celebration at The Space by Dolce Bakery—surrounded byhundreds hand-folded origami cranes made by the couple themselves for good luck and longevity.

Carrie’s mom created the most incredible “altered” book telling the story of their relationship, and guests were invited to contribute their own memories on blank library cards. 📚✨ It was deeply personal, wonderfully creative, and honestly—emotional in all the best ways.

Before the night ended, Carrie tearfully thanked every guest for being part of their love story. I still can’t get over it. These are the kinds of weddings that stick with me forever. ❤️

I'm happy to share this gorgeous wedding on the blog, and within Pride Month too. Daniel and Garrett’s Kansas City wedding was bold, emotional, and completely true to them.

From hosting cocktail hour before the ceremony, to writing their own vows, to ending the night with a surprise drag queen performance — every part of this day was infused with meaning, joy, and a whole lot of personality.

Their ceremony included a ring warming ritual where the rings were passed through the hands of their loved ones, which I loved how they incorporated their guests within the ceremony.

These two didn’t just plan a wedding — they created an experience that reflected their love story from start to finish.

And the wild part? I met them years ago while photographing a different family member's wedding. The butterfly effect is real — and I’m so glad it led me to this day.

Today I get to see Hannah and Eric after almost a year when I photographed their engagement in their hometown of Chicago.

I had to show off their session again because it's really unreal how many vines were on these gorgeous medieval buildings at the Chicago Art Institute.

Their wedding today in Lawrence dress code is summer dresses, so for the first time in a long time, I may just wear color to document their day. ;)

Part 2 of Jenn & Andy’s wedding day picks up right where the tears left off—because yes, there were more 😭

After their heartfelt tea ceremony, Jenn & Andy exchanged private vows before their ceremony at St. John LaLande Parish—an intimate moment just for the two of them. The ceremony itself was officiated by a family member, making it even more meaningful.

Once rings were exchanged, it was time to celebrate. Their reception at The Gallery in Kansas City was packed with intentional touches—from greeting every guest with a photo op (a genius way to make sure everyone got a pic!) to a surprise choreographed first dance that had dips, lifts, and a whole lot of jaw drops.

This wedding was a beautiful balance of tradition, emotion, and personality—and I’m still not over it.

Jennifer and Andrew shared a beautiful tea ceremony surrounded by family, tradition, and love. Their custom hand-stitched attire, made in Vietnam, set the tone for a morning full of meaningful rituals, exchanged gifts, heartfelt hugs, and more than a few happy tears.

I was so honored to witness this event with them! It was so much fun.

Lindsey & Cody’s wedding at The Brim this past Friday was proof that small can be mighty meaningful.✨ With just 60 of their closest people gathered around them, they tied the knot — but it wasn’t just the two of them coming together.

This day was also about officially becoming a family. Lindsey’s daughter, Mayleigh, played a big role in the ceremony, and during their vows, they put together a custom puzzle symbolizing all their lives joining as one (yes, even a piece for their pup at home ).

Afterwards? Cake, heartfelt toasts, and time to connect with every single guest. It was intentional, intimate, and absolutely full of heart.

When I first hopped on a call with Skylar and Becca, I knew immediately that we were going to vibe. They mentioned their wedding would be full of bright, bold colors and I was like—say less, I’m in. 🎨🌈⁠

They just moved to Kansas City from Texas and their engagement session was our first time meeting in person—which made it even more special. These two are wildly giggly, infectiously fun, and kept me laughing the entire session (honestly, I’m still not over it).⁠

We spent most of our time talking about their 3 dogs (who all have their own hilarious personalities) and somewhere along the way, they taught me how to make iPhone stickers… a skill I’ve definitely overused since. 😂⁠

Their wedding next year is going to be a COLORFUL, JOY-FILLED BLAST and I’m already counting down.⁠

Cam and Cass tied the knot over Memorial Day Weekend and it was SUCH a colorful, loving spring wedding.

It's been a hot minute since I photographer a 250+ person wedding, and the Kansas City Room was the perfect venue to house all their favorite people.

Cam and Cass are seriously a couple straight out of a romance novel. They grew up in the same neighborhood, knew each other since they were children, reconnected in 2020, and fell in love. I'm talking they have all the adorable childhood memories that built up to this moment. How many times I looked over to my second shooter and just said AWWWWW during the day was too many times to count.
